Abstract: Optical fiber units constituting an optical fiber assembly and each formed by stacking a plurality of optical fiber ribbons include, in some cross section of the optical fiber assembly, a first fiber unit located on a neutral line and a second fiber unit located farthest from the neutral line. Regarding the sine value of an angle formed by a straight line in a radial direction connecting the center of the optical fiber assembly and the center of gravity of the optical fiber ribbon and a straight line in a ribbon width direction connecting both ends of the optical fiber ribbon, the average value of the sine values of the plurality of optical fiber ribbons of the same optical fiber unit is defined as an average sine value, and in the some cross section, the average sine value in the second fiber unit is larger than the average sine value in at least one first fiber unit.
