I/WE CLAIM
1) A laundry detergent composition comprising:
a) 5 to 90 wt% surfactant;
b) 0.1 to 5 wt% polyether diamine based on PPG backbone; and,
c) 0.1 to 5 wt% cellulosic polymer having molecular weight of 100 K to 300 K
Daltons;
wherein,
ratio of said polyether diamine to said cellulosic polymer is 1:0.8 to 1:5 parts
by weight.
2) A laundry detergent composition as claimed in claim 1 wherein said ratio is 1:1 to
1:4.
3) A laundry detergent composition as claimed in claim 1 or 2 wherein said
composition comprises 0.8 to 2.5 wt% of said polyether diamine based on PPG
backbone.
4) A laundry detergent composition as claimed in any of claims 1 to 4 wherein said
composition comprises 0.5 to 3.5 wt% of said cellulosic polymer.
5) A laundry detergent composition as claimed in claim 4 wherein said cellulosic
polymer is alkyl cellulose, alkylalkoxyalkyl cellulose, carboxyalkyl cellulose or
alkyl carboxyalkyl cellulose.
6) A laundry detergent composition as claimed in claim 5 wherein the cellulosic
polymer is selected from the group consisting of carboxymethyl cellulose, sodium
carboxymethyl cellulose, methyl cellulose, methyl hydroxyethyl cellulose, methyl
carboxymethyl cellulose and mixtures thereof.
7) A laundry detergent composition as claimed in claim 6 wherein the cellulosic
polymer is sodium carboxymethyl cellulose.
8) A laundry detergent composition as claimed in any of claims 1 to 7 wherein said
surfactant comprises an anionic surfactant.
