I/WE CLAIM
1) A liquid detergent composition comprising:
a) 30 to 90 wt% active detergent consisting of:
i) linear alkyl benzene sulphonate having ammoniacal counterion; and,
ii) sugar surfactant;
where the linear alkyl benzene sulphonate having ammoniacal counterion
accounts for 25 to 75 parts by weight of the active detergent;
b) 1 to 15 wt% of a hydrophilic solvent selected from the group consisting of
ethylene glycol, diethylene glycol, polyethylene glycol, propylene glycol, sorbitol
and glycerol; and,
c) 1 to 25 wt% water.
2) A liquid detergent composition as claimed in claim 1 wherein the linear alkyl benzene
sulphonate having ammoniacal counterion accounts for 30 to 70 parts by weight of
the active detergent.
3) A liquid detergent composition as claimed in claim 2 wherein the linear alkyl benzene
sulphonate having ammoniacal counterion accounts for 35 to 70 parts by weight of
the active detergent.
4) A liquid detergent composition as claimed in any of claims 1 to 3 wherein viscosity
of said composition is 200 to 5,000 mPa.s at 25°C at a shear rate of 21 sec-1
.
5) A liquid detergent composition as claimed in any of claims 1 to 4 wherein dilution of
1 part by volume of said composition with five parts by volume water forms a readyto-use liquid detergent composition having viscosity of 50 to 2000 mPa.s when
measured at 25°C and 106 s-1
.
6) A liquid detergent composition as claimed in any of claims 1 to 5 wherein said
ammoniacal counterion is ammonium, isopropylamine, monoethanolamine, (MEA),
diethanolamine (DEA) or triethanolamine (TEA).
7) A liquid detergent composition as claimed in any of claims 1 to 6 wherein said sugar
surfactant is alkyl glucoside, alkyl polyglucoside, sucrose ester, sorbitan ester,
sulphobethaine or a mixture thereof.
