WE CLAIM:
1. A method (600) for generating an identifier (ID) for a user equipment (UE)
(108) in a network (104), the method (600) comprising:
5 receiving (602), by a receiving unit (212), a request from the UE (108);
extracting (604), by a processing unit (208), one or more parameters from the
received request;
determining (606), by the processing unit (208), fulfilment of at least one
condition associated with the one or more extracted parameters; and
10 upon determining, generating (608), by the processing unit (208), the ID based
on processing of the one or more extracted parameters.
2. The method (600) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the at least one condition
comprising checking, by the processing unit (208), an absence of the ID associated
15 with the one or more extracted parameters in a memory (204).
3. The method (600) as claimed in claim 1, further comprising communicating,
by the processing unit (208), the generated ID to the UE (108).
4. The method (600) as claimed in claim 1, further comprising tagging, by the
processing unit (208), the generated ID to the UE (108).
20 5. The method (600) as claimed in claim 1, further comprising retrieving, by the
processing unit (208), the ID from the memory (204) when it is determined that the ID
exists in the memory (204).
