WE CLAIM:
1. A method (400) for performing lawful communication restriction in a
telecommunication network, the method comprising:
5 receiving (402), by a receiving unit (208), a lawful communication restriction
request corresponding to at least one service associated with at least one network node
from a user, using a User Interface (UI);
processing (404), by a processing unit (210), the lawful communication
restriction request to generate a work order corresponding to the lawful communication
10 restriction request;
validating (406), by a validating unit (212), the generated work order;
receiving (408), by the receiving unit (208), an execution request from the user
for executing the work order in response to validating; and
executing (410), by the processing unit (210), the work order to perform the
15 lawful communication restriction corresponding to the at least one network node in
response to receiving the execution request.
2. The method (400) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the lawful communication
restriction request comprises a plurality of lawful communication restriction
20 parameters associated with the at least one network node.
3. The method (400) as claimed in claim 2, wherein the plurality of lawful
communication restriction parameters comprises at least one of a lawful
communication restriction type associated with the at least one network node, a node
25 type of the at least one network node, a start date and an end date associated with the
lawful communication restriction, and a start time and an end time of the lawful
communication restriction.

4. The method (400) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the lawful communication
restriction corresponding to the at least one network node is performed based on one
or more conditions defined by a Law Enforcement Agency (LEA).

5. The method (400) as claimed in claim 1, further comprising:
rendering, by a rendering unit (214), a report to the user using the UI, upon
completio
