Yarn Winding Machine

Abstract: A yarn winding machine (1) includes winding units (2) each having a sucking and catching device (50) configured to suction and catch yarn (Y) on a package (P) side when the yarn (Y) is disconnected, and a yarn joining device (35) having a yarn guiding member (39A) configured to perform a yarn guiding operation. Each sucking and catching device (50) includes: suction piping (61A) through which suction air flows from a tip end (61Ab) to a base end (61Aa); a suction port (51) formed in the tip end (61Ab); and a holding part (70) configured to hold the yarn (Y) within the suction piping (61A). When disconnection of the yarn (Y) occurs, the holding part (70) holds yarn (Y), and releases holding of the yarn (Y) at the same time as or before the yarn joining device (35) starts the yarn guiding operation.
