A Method For The Preparation Of 3 Chlorothietane 1 1 Dioxide

Abstract: The present invention discloses a method for the preparation of 3 chlorothietane 1 1 dioxide and particularly provides a simple efficient and cost effective method for the preparation of 3 chlorothietane 1 1 dioxide. The present invention also provides a method for preparing thietan 3 ol (III) from 2 (chloromethyl)oxirane (V). The present invention further provides a process for conversion of thietan 3 ol (III) to 3 chlorothietane 1 1 dioxide.
