Short Range Radio Network With Connectivity Parameter

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for communication between a station (STA) and at least one first access point (APi) belonging to a short-range radio network identified by a network identifier, the network comprising a plurality of access points. The method is implemented by the station and comprises: - receiving (S2), from the first access point (APi), a message (BCNi) comprising the network identifier (SSID), at least one identifier of a second access point from among the plurality of access points and a value of a connectivity parameter for the second access point; - selecting (S3), from among the plurality of access points, according to the at least one value of a received connectivity parameter, an access point to which to connect; and - establishing (S4) a connection with the thus selected access point using its identifier.
