A stacked sprocket may be manufactured utilizing low-cost manufacturing methods and low-cost sheet or plate material over a solid billet. The modularity of a stacked sprocket allows for easy design changes during the production of the stacked sprocket or pulley. The construction of the stacked sprocket and pulley is individually cut plates stacked together and sandwiched by a rivet, bolt, or the like. The plates are stacked and sandwiched together to form a complete sprocket or pulley.
