Abstract: The present invention comprises: an external world information acquisition unit that acquires information about the external world around a host vehicle, on the basis of results recognized by an external world recognition unit; a visible region acquisition unit that, on the basis of the external world information, acquires a visible region serving as a travelable region visible from the host vehicle; an oncoming vehicle state determination unit that determines the state of an oncoming vehicle on the basis of the visible region and information relating to the behavior of the oncoming vehicle; a blind spot region acquisition unit that acquires a blind spot region that is a blind spot of the host vehicle, on the basis of the state of the oncoming vehicle, the visible region, and the position of the oncoming vehicle acquired on the basis of the external world information; and a virtual shunting region acquisition unit that, on the basis of the visible region and the blind spot region, acquires a virtual shunting region for allowing the host vehicle and the oncoming vehicle to pass by each other.
