Abstract: [Problem] To provide a valve-forming ring capable of suppressing hemolysis. [Solution] A valve-forming ring includes: (1) a ring-shaped core; and (2) a first layer which includes a texture or a fabric impregnated with a hydrogel and which covers a surface of the core. The hydrogel is subjected to irradiation crosslinking.
