Methods And Devices For Coding And Decoding A Data Stream Representative Of At Least One Image

Abstract: The invention relates to a method and device for coding and decoding a data stream representative of at least one image that is split into blocks. For at least one block of the image, a group of pixel values is determined (E441). For each pixel of the block, a prediction residue is decoded (E442) and a prediction value is determined (E4411) according to a first prediction mode where at least one pixel of the block is predicted from at least one other previously decoded pixel of the block. An item of information (E4422) indicates whether the pixel is predicted according to a second prediction mode where the prediction value results from said group of pixel values. If so, the prediction value associated with the pixel is replaced (E4423) with a value of the group. The pixel is reconstructed (E444) using the prediction value and prediction residue.
