A Hydraulic Filter Assembly With A Flange Cover Integrated Flow Diverter

Abstract: The present invention relates to a hydraulic filter assembly for filtering a fluid returning to a reservoir. The assembly (100) comprises a filter element (101), a bypass valve (102) integrated with the filter element, and a filter bowl (103) that accommodates both the filter element (101) and the bypass valve (102). The assembly (100) is further equipped with a flange cover (104) having an inlet (105) that is designed with plurality of openings (106) configured to direct the fluid flow into the assembly. The plurality of the openings (106) of the inlet divide the flow, directing the flow away from the bypass valve (102) in order to prevent the damaging and breaking of the bypass valve (102). This configuration helps to reduce direct impingement on the bypass valve, minimizing mechanical stress and preventing premature valve failure, thereby enhancing the overall performance and reliability of the hydraulic filter assembly.
