Abstract: ABSTRACT AN ACTIVE MATERIAL, AN ELECTRODE COMPOSITE AND PREPARATIONS THEREOF 5 The present disclosure provides an active material comprising: (a) 88 to 92% by weight of silicon oxide (SiOx); (b) 4 to 6% by weight of a modified conductive carbon; and (c) 4 to 6% by weight of a binder, wherein the silicon oxide is coated with a layer of the modified conductive carbon, and the layer has a thickness by density in a range of 0.00125 to 0.003 cm4/g. The present disclosure also provides 10 a process for the preparation of active material as disclosed herein. Further, the present disclosure provides an anode composite comprising the active material as disclosed herein and its process thereof. Furthermore, the present disclosure provides an electrochemical cell.
