Abstract: Provided is a coating device 1A that, with the action of an electric field, atomizes a coating material having an electrical resistivity of not more than 20 MO?cm. The coating device 1A comprises: a nozzle 21 to which a voltage is applied; a flow passage 23 through which the coating material flows; a measurement unit 42 which measures a supplied current; and a control unit 5 which controls, on the basis of the measurement value of the measurement unit, the voltage applied to the nozzle 21.
