Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to devices and methods of communication. A CU transmits, to a DU, security key update information for an LTM cell switch. Upon determination that the LTM cell switch to a candidate cell is to be performed, the DU transmits, to a terminal device, a MAC CE indicating the LTM cell switch to the candidate cell. The MAC CE comprises the security key update information. Based on the security key update information in the MAC CE, the terminal device updates the security key. In this way, security key update during inter-CU LTM may be carried out and enhancement on inter-CU LTM may be achieved.
