Abstract: Storage facility, system and method for storing and retrieving objects in automatic storage and retrieval systems automatically is provided The objects are stored and retrieved by (a) placing the objects on one or more object handling position, (b) moving the one or more automated storage and retrieval machines (116A-N) between at least one of one or more storage position or the one or more object handling position, (c) placing the objects on a work handling platform (202) using an object picker (218), (d) moving the objects to at least one of the one or more storage position or the one or more object handling position and (e) placing the objects on at least one of the one or more storage position or the one or more object handling position from the one or more automated storage and retrieval machines.
