The following specification particularly describes the invention and the manner in which
it is to be performed.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION
This invention relates to a book having detachable planner comprises plurality of pages
and detachable planner pages for making notes. The said book contains pictures,
photographs, plans, articles, topics, graphics, information, particulars and/or combination
thereof on regular pages and detachable planner pages and the said planner pages are
folded at two or more places and can be torn out the perforated line provided between the
regular page and the detachable planner page.
DESCRIPTION OF THE PRIOR ART
Year planners conventionally comprise a chart for wall mounting which is divided into
rows and columns defining a grid of boxes in which information can be entered.
Typically, each box is marked to identify a specific day of the year with boxes in the
same column representing the same days of the week and boxes in the same row
representing days in the same month, or vice versa.
Planner pages have rows of boxes which can be ascribed to a particular person, activity or
other area of planning which is identified by an appropriate notation. Each row is divided
into a number of boxes representing successive dates and each column of boxes represent
the same date. Such types of planners have a number of disadvantages in that they are
primarily suitable for use only as wall charts and confidential information cannot be
entered in such chart. Planners are generally meant for a year and therefore not much
effort or time is invested in designing the planner. Generally these are blend sheets of
paper one can write on, packed in a leather jacket.
The new kind of construction provided for a fact that one could design the planner with a
long term usage in mind like a book. Here one would have the usage of a book where one
can write in and at the end of the year, once the usage of the planner was over, one could
tear out (along a perforated line) all the written pages, leaving the book in its virgin state.
Hence, by redesigning the structure of a book, a book has turned into a dual use product.

In accordance with the invention, we provide a book comprise of plurality of regular
pages and two or more detachable planners pages. The said book contains pictures,
photographs, graphics, information, particulars and/or topics. The said detachable planner
pages are folded at two or more paces. The said planner page consists of two or more
rows and two or more column of boxes arranged in a grid expending over the pages,
wherein each column of boxes or each row of boxes in headed with information relating
to day, date month and years or such other information and particulars as may be
required.
The invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the
accompanying drawings which illustrates a book having detachable calendar planner in
accordance with the invention.

As illustrated in the drawings, a closed book (11) comprises a cover page formed as a
sheet of cardboard or the like and it consists of plurality of regular pages / base pages and
twelve or more detachable planner pages. The said regular pages consist of pictures,
photographs, graphics, plans, articles or various topics, information, particulars and/or
combination thereof. The said planner page is folded out to access month, calendar or
more variable pages behind. The said planner pages (12) is folded out at two or more
places and when the folded page is fully opened, it shows day, date, month calendar as
well as columns and rows for making notes. It also displays a month and year on the top
of the said page and also in the middle of the book. All the pages of the book except

beginning few pages and ending few pages are cut in the middle of the book and when
the book is opened, it displays a month and it is arranged in such a way that first letters
of each month is visible when the book is closed (13). At the end of a month or a year,
the folded out detachable planner pages or all folded out detachable planner pages can be
torn out using the perforated line provided on each such planner pages. All the folded out
planner pages, including die-cut area with the months, can be thus removed from the
book (14) and what is left behind is the book with the regular pages (15) sans any traces
of the planner book and leaving the book in its virgin state. Thus, the book has turned
into a dual use product and a year planner has turned into a timeless object.
The calendar planner may be arranged as required to suit the calendar year, the academic
year or the fiscal year or for period of less than one year .
A book may consist of planner other than calendar year planner while considerable
emphasis has been placed herein in relation to the calendar planner. It will be appreciated
that many types of planners can be made and that many changes can be made in such
planners without departing from the principles of the invention will be apparent to those
skilled in the art from the disclosures herein, whereby it is to be distinctly understood that
the foregoing descriptive matter relating to calendar planner is to be interpreted merely as
illustrative of the invention and not as a limitation.

We Claim:-
1. A book having detachable planner comprising plurality of regular pages and few
detachable planner pages which can be folded at two or more places; the said planner
page is detached easily at the perforated line when required preferably at the end of year
from the regular/ base page of the book; the said detachable planner pages consist of day,
date, month and year and sufficient space is made by creating rows and columns on each
such pages to make necessary notes thereon, the said detachable planner page is slightly
cut in the middle between the base page and first folded pages in such a way that when it
is folded and put in the book first letter of each month is displayed for easy assess to the
desired page.
