A Brush Gear Arrangement For Dc Machine
Abstract: Disclosed herein provides a brush gear arrangement for DC machine comprising a plurality of steel rings (01-05) wherein the ring-1 (02) and ring-2 (03) are welded together with the help of bars (04) placed along the periphery of Ring-1 (02) and Ring-2 (03);a plurality of insulating pins (06), a plurality of double parallel pocket brush holders (11);a plurality of brush holder support arms (07,08), wherein each arm carries multiple no.of brush holders (11) with double parallel pockets; a plurality of thin and thick spacers (12,13), wherein the thin and thick spacers (12,13) are placed in between brush holder (11) and brush holder support arm-1/2 (07/08);a plurality of brush connecting copper straps (16) for short-circuiting the brush holders (11) of one brush arm; a plurality of brushes are (20) placed along the magnetic neutral axis of the DC machine; an assembly of copper connecting rings (21-28,41);a plurality of flash guards (32),wherein the flash guard (32) maintains a gap between its pointed corner and nearest electrically conducting part.
