A Camshaft For An Internal Combustion Engine.

Abstract: The present disclosure proposes a camshaft (103) for an internal combustion engine (101). The camshaft (103) for an internal combustion engine (101), comprises at least one cam (102) machined 5 on the camshaft (103). The camshaft (103) is characterized by at least one cam (102) having cam lobes adapted to mount at least two roller tappets (105) of two physically independent fuel pumps (104). Such a manner of mounting two physically independent fuel pumps (104) on a single cam (102) means that 10 this single cam (102) drives at least two physically independent fuel pumps (104). The fuel pump described above is a plug-in type fuel pump.

Specification

Claims:1. A camshaft (103) for an internal combustion engine (101), at least one
cam (102) machined on the camshaft (103), characterized in that
camshaft (103) at least one cam (102) having cam lobes adapted to
mount at least two roller tappets (105) of two physically 5 independent
fuel pumps (104).
2. The camshaft (103) for an internal combustion engine (101) as claimed
in claim 1, wherein the cam (102) drives at least two fuel pumps.
3. The camshaft (103) for an internal combustion engine (101) as claimed
in claim 1, wherein the angular separation of the fuel pumps depends on
the engine cylinder configuration and ratio of pump speed and engine
speed.
4. The camshaft (103) for an internal combustion engine (101) as claimed
in claim 1, wherein the fuel pump is a plug-in type fuel pump. , Description:The present disclosure proposes a camshaft (103) for an internal
