I/We Claim:
1) An impregnated paper strip coated with a solution, said solution comprising 2,2-diphenyl-l-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) to methanol to water w/v/v ratio in a range of 3:10:2- 6.3:24:5.
2) The impregnated paper strip as claimed in claim 1, wherein the solution comprises 2,2-diphenyl-l-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) to methanol to water w/v/v ratio in a range of 3:10:2 - 6:24:5.
3) The impregnated paper strip as claimed in claim 1, wherein the solution comprises 2,2-diphenyl-l-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) to methanol to water in a w/v/v ratio of 5:10:5.
4) A process of preparing the impregnated paper strip as claimed in claim 1, the process comprising:

(a) obtaining a paper strip;
(b) contacting, the paper strip, and the solution to obtain an impregnated paper strip.

5) The process as claimed in claim 4, wherein the paper strip is selected from Whatman filter paper grade 1, Whatman filter paper grade 4, Whatman filter paper grade 40, or Whatman filter paper grade 42.
6) The process as claimed in claim 4, wherein contacting, the paper strip, and the solution is carried out at a temperature in a range of 25°C - 35°C to obtain the impregnated paper strip.
7) A coated paper strip obtained by drying the impregnated paper strip as claimed in any one of the claims 1-3.
8) The coated paper strip as claimed in claim 7, wherein drying the impregnated paper strip is carried out at a temperature in a range of 55°C - 65°C.
9) The coated paper strip as claimed in claim 7, wherein the coated paper strip is stable for a period up to 2 months at a temperature in the range of 20 - 30°C at a humidity in the range of 40% - 55%.
10) A method for visually detecting the presence of antioxidants in a sample, the method comprising:

(a) contacting the coated paper strip as claimed in any one of the claims 7-9, and a sample to obtain a study paper strip; and
(b) detecting a change in color of the study paper strip, wherein a change in color of the study paper strip as compared to the coated paper strip indicates the presence of antioxidants in the sample.
