Abstract: The present disclosure provides a composition comprising of cactus extract for promoting hair growth, hair stem cell proliferation, or clonogenic ability of hair stem cells.

Specification
DESC:A COMPOSITION COMPRISING CACTUS CALLUS EXTRACT AND USES THEREOF ,CLAIMS:1. A composition comprising of cactus extract for promoting hair growth.
2. The composition as claimed in claim 1, wherein said cactus extract is obtained from at least one species belonging to the genus Opuntia.
3. The composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-2, wherein said cactus extract is obtained from callus.
4. The composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-3, wherein said cactus extract is obtained by a method selected from the group consisting of liquid extraction method, solvent extraction method, and lyophilization method.
5. The composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-4, wherein cactus extract weight percentage in said composition is in the range of 0.001-0.01%.
6. A composition for promoting proliferation of hair follicle stem cells comprising of a composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-5
7. A composition for promoting the clonogenic ability of hair follicle stem cells comprising of a composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-5.
8. The composition as claimed in any of the claims 6-7, wherein cactus extract weight percentage in said composition is 0.001-0.01%.
9. The composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-8, optionally further comprising of suitable carriers, diluents, and excipients.
10. A method of preparing a composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-9.
11. A method of promoting hair growth, said method comprising of:
a. obtaining a composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-9; and
b. contacting said composition with scalp,
wherein said method promotes hair growth.
12. A composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-9 for use in promoting hair growth.
