A Composition Comprising Herbal Extracts To Address Bone Related Problems
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a composition comprising herbal extracts from two different plants, Inula racemosa and Mucuna pruriens to address bone related problems. The combination of Inula racemosa extract to Mucuna pruriens extract at specific ratios exhibits a synergistic effect on the inhibition of osteoclast activity. Also provided are methods for preparation and use of said composition.

Specification
Claims:1. A composition comprising:
(a) Inula racemosa extract; and
(b) Mucuna pruriens extract,
wherein the Inula racemosa extract to the Mucuna pruriens extract w/w ratio in said composition is in the range of 1:0.25-1:4.
2. The composition as claimed in claim 1, wherein the Inula racemosa extract to the Mucuna pruriens extract w/w ratio in said composition is in the range of 1:0.25 - 1:0.90.
3. The composition as claimed in claim 1, wherein the Inula racemosa extract to the Mucuna pruriens extract w/w ratio in said composition is in the range of 1:0.25 - 1:0.60.
4. The composition as claimed in claim 1, wherein the Inula racemosa extract to the Mucuna pruriens extract w/w ratio in said composition is 1:0.25.
5. The composition as claimed in claim 1, wherein the Inula racemosa extract to the Mucuna pruriens extract w/w ratio in said composition is 1:0.67.
6. The composition as claimed in claim 1, wherein the Inula racemosa extract to the Mucuna pruriens extract w/w ratio in said composition is 1:1.
7. The composition as claimed in claim 1, further comprising:
(a) at least one carrier;
(b) at least one diluent; and
(c) at least one excipient.
8. A method for preparing a composition as claimed in claim 1, said method comprising:
(a) obtaining Inula racemosa extract;
(b) obtaining Mucuna pruriens extract; and
(c) contacting the Inula racemosa extract and the Mucuna pruriens extract to obtain said composition.
9. A method for preparing a composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-7, said method comprising:
(a) obtaining Inula racemosa extract;
(b) obtaining Mucuna pruriens extract;
(c) obtaining at least one carrier;
(d) obtaining at least one diluent;
(e) obtaining at least one excipient; and
(f) contacting the Inula racemosa extract, the Mucuna pruriens extract, the at least one carrier, the least one diluent, and the least one excipient to obtain said composition.
10. The composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-7, wherein said composition reduces osteoclast activity.
11. The composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-7, wherein said composition promotes bone health by reducing bone degeneration.
