A Composition Comprising Laminarin, And A Small Molecule And Uses Thereof
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a composition comprising laminarin and N-(4-chloro-2-methylphenyl)-4-(2-naphthyl)-2,4-dioxo-3-(3-oxo-1,3-dihydro-2-benzofuran-1-yl) butanamide, which at particular weight ratios has surprising beneficial characteristics that finds use in skin care applications, particularly to inhibit visible signs of skin aging.

Specification
Claims:1. A composition comprising:
a. laminarin; and
b. N-(4-chloro-2-methylphenyl)-4-(2-naphthyl)-2,4-dioxo-3-(3-oxo-1,3-dihydro-2-benzofuran-1-yl) butanamide,
wherein laminarin to N-(4-chloro-2-methylphenyl)-4-(2-naphthyl)-2,4-dioxo-3-(3-oxo-1,3-dihydro-2-benzofuran-1-yl) butanamide w/w ratio in said composition is in the range of 0.16:1-20:1.
2. The composition as claimed in claim 1, wherein laminarin to N-(4-chloro-2-methylphenyl)-4-(2-naphthyl)-2,4-dioxo-3-(3-oxo-1,3-dihydro-2-benzofuran-1-yl) butanamide w/w ratio in said composition is in the range of 0.7:1-17:1.
3. The composition as claimed in claim 2, wherein laminarin to N-(4-chloro-2-methylphenyl)-4-(2-naphthyl)-2,4-dioxo-3-(3-oxo-1,3-dihydro-2-benzofuran-1-yl) butanamide w/w ratio in said composition is 1:1.
4. The composition as claimed in claim 2, wherein laminarin to N-(4-chloro-2-methylphenyl)-4-(2-naphthyl)-2,4-dioxo-3-(3-oxo-1,3-dihydro-2-benzofuran-1-yl) butanamide w/w ratio in said composition is 16.66:1.
5. The composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-4, further comprises suitable carriers, diluents, and excipients.
6. A method of inhibiting skin aging, said method comprising:
a. obtaining a composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-5; and
b. contacting said composition with skin,
wherein said method inhibits skin aging.
7. The method as claimed in claim 6, wherein said method inhibits appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, or loss of skin elasticity.
8. A method of preparing a composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-5.
9. The composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-5, wherein said composition is for topical application.
10. A composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-5 for use in preparing topical formulations for inhibiting skin aging.
