Abstract: The present disclosure provides a composition comprising phlorizin, and gluconolactone, which at particular weight ratios provides a synergistic response to expression of collagen in cells, in aid of cosmetic inhibition of skin aging such as fine lines, and wrinkles.

Specification
DESC:A COMPOSITION COMPRISING PHLORIZIN, AND GLUCONOLACTONE AND USES THEREOF ,CLAIMS:1. A composition comprising:
a. phlorizin; and
b. gluconolactone,
wherein phlorizin to gluconolactone w/w ratio in said composition is in the range of 1:1.5-1:3.
2. The composition as claimed in claim 1, wherein phlorizin to gluconolactone w/w ratio in said composition is 1:2.
3. The composition as claimed in claim 2, wherein phlorizin weight concentration in said composition is 0.005%, and gluconolactone weight concentration in said composition is 0.01%.
4. The composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-3, optionally further comprising cosmetically suitable carriers, diluents, and excipients.
5. The composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-4, wherein said composition is for topical application.
6. A method of cosmetically inhibiting skin aging, said method comprising:
a. obtaining a composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-5; and
b. contacting said composition with skin,
wherein said method cosmetically inhibits skin aging.
7. The method as claimed in claim 6, wherein cosmetic inhibition of skin aging results in reduction of fine lines, and wrinkles.
8. A composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-5 for use in preparing topical formulations for inhibition of skin aging.
9. A method of preparing a composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-5.
