Abstract: The present disclosure provides a composition comprising Callendulla officinalis flower extract, and at least one extract of Ficus carica fruit, Nymphaea alba flower, or combinations thereof, which at particular w/w ratios, and concentrations exhibits enhanced ability to effect epithelial wound closure.
Claims:1. A composition comprising:
a. Callendulla officinalis flower extract; and
b. at least one extract selected from the group consisting of:
i. Ficus carica fruit extract;
ii. Nymphaea alba flower extract; and
iii. combinations thereof,
wherein Callendulla officinalis flower extract to at least one extract w/w ratio in said composition is in the range of 1:0.033-1:3.
2. The composition as claimed in claim 1, further comprises suitable carriers, diluents, and excipients.
3. The composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-2, wherein Callendulla officinalis flower extract to Ficus carica fruit extract w/w ratio in said composition is in the range of 1:0.033-1:0.3.
4. The composition as claimed in claim 3, wherein Callendulla officinalis flower extract weight concentration in said composition is in the range of 50-150 ppm, and Ficus carica fruit extract weight concentration in said composition is in the range of 5-15 ppm.
5. The composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-2, wherein Callendulla officinalis flower extract to Nymphaea alba flower extract w/w ratio in said composition is in the range of 1:0.33-1:3.
6. The composition as claimed in claim 5, wherein Callendulla officinalis flower extract weight concentration in said composition is in the range of 50-150 ppm, and Nymphaea alba flower extract weight concentration in said composition is in the range of 50-150 ppm.
7. A method of preparing a composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-6.
8. A method of epidermal wound closure, said method comprising:
a. obtaining a composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-6; and
b. contacting said composition with site of epidermal wound,
Wherein said method promotes epidermal wound closure.
9. A composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-6 for use in preparing topical formulations for promoting epithelial wound closure.
