A Disposable Fluid Adsorption Pad And A System Thereof

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a disposable fluid adsorption pad (10) for detecting an analyte or constituents of a sample. The fluid adsorption pad (10) includes at least one substrate (1) structured to conduct electricity and generate heat when electric current is passed. The heat generated in the at least one substrate (1) desorbs vapours of at least one analyte adsorbed or deposited on the fluid adsorption pad (10) during sample collection. The present disclosure also discloses a system (20) for detecting the analyte or constituents of the sample using the fluid adsorption pad (10), and a method for detecting the same.
