Abstract: The present invention discloses a fuel filter (100) for a vehicle. The fuel filter (100) comprises a filter cover, a filter bowl (102), a filter cap (103) 10 and at least a filter element. The filter bowl (102) is affixed to the filter cover (101) in the operative configuration of the fuel filter (100). The filter bowl (102) is adapted to encase a filter element and a filter cap (103). The filter cap (103) is placed on top of the filter element in the operative configuration of the fuel filter (100). The filter cap (103) has a groove 15 (106) across its annular periphery. The filter element comprises a first media (104) and a second media (105) where the first media (104) and the second media (105) are placed co-axially. Figure 1.
Claims:A fuel filter (100) for a vehicle, the fuel filter (100) comprising at
least a filter cover (101), characterized in the fuel filter (100) :
a filter bowl (102) affixed to the filter cover (101) in the
operative configuration of the fuel filter (100), 5 the filter bowl
(102) adapted to encase a filter element and a filter cap (103);
the filter cap (103) placed on top of the filter element in the
operative configuration of the fuel filter (100), said filter cap
(103) having a groove (106) across its annular periphery;
10 the filter element comprising a first media (104) and a second
media (105), the first media (104) and the second media
(105) placed co-axially.
2.The fuel filter (100) as claimed in claim 1, where the vertical
15 length of the filter cap (103) equal to the vertical length of the first
media (104).
3.The fuel filter (100) as claimed in claim 1, where the porosity of
the second media (105) is more than the first media (104).
4.4.The fuel filter (100) as claimed in claim 1, where the first media
(104) and the second media (105) are affixed to each other by a glue. , Description:Abstract
