Abstract: “A LOCK ASSEMBLY FOR A VEHICLE” 5 A present disclosure relates to a lock assembly (100) comprising a housing, a motor assembly (40), a gear assembly (6), and a cam assembly (9). The motor assembly (40) comprises an output shaft (20) and an output gear (5) mounted at the output shaft. The output gear (5) is rotatable about Y-axis through the rotation of the output shaft. The 10 gear assembly (6) is rotatably connected to the motor assembly (40). The first gear (6c) is engaged to the output gear and is rotatable about X-axis through the rotation of the output gear. The cam assembly (9) comprises a cam (10), a cam shaft (9a), and a cam gear (9b). A cam gear is engaged to the second gear (6e) and rotatable about Z-axis through the rotation of the second gear. The cam is defined with a cam profile (10a) 15 configured to be engaged with a lock bar (12). [Referred to Figure 1]
