A Locking Device

Abstract: Present disclosure discloses a locking nut. The locking device includes a lock member connected to a cover through an opening defined in the cover. The lock member comprises a body which in turn comprises a holding means adapted to receive an inner wire of a cable. Further, the locking device includes a bracket which is defined with a cavity and mounted on the cover. The opening aligns with the cavity and configured to receive the lock 10 member. Furthermore, the locking device includes a retainer clip which is adapted to engage with the body and the bracket to secure the lock member and the bracket with the cover. The configuration of the locking device aids in easy assembling of the locking device with a component, without the need of external engaging members. This reduces the effort and time in fixing the locking device with the component.
