A Method Of User Identity Based Lte Mac Scheduler For Priority And Preemption
Abstract: ABSTRACT Medium Access Control (MAC) scheduler plays an important role in the assignment of the resource blocks (RBs) for users. Commercial MAC scheduler provides fair scheduling among all users and hence all users within the class gets the same quality of service (QoS). In the case of emergency networks the scheduler has to provide priority and preemption for certain users over other. The scheduler has to schedule high-priority users with minimum signaling and delay. This invention discusses the unique method of identifying users for providing priority and preemption at eNodeB during scheduling without the intervention of core network.
