A Multi Functional Deck Lid Latch With A Single Release Lever
Abstract: The present invention provides a multi-functional deck lid latch for an automotive with a single lever, operable by multiple cables, for the release of the deck lid latch. The deck lid latch comprises a base plate acting as a chamber to house pawl and a single release lever assemblies of the deck lid latch. The single release lever of the present invention comprises an elongated substantially straight base portion and at least a shoulder with a plurality of grooves for the easy mounting of the cables drawn from different locations of the automotive for the release of the deck lid latch and with bi-directional rotation. The single release lever of the deck lid latch is rotated on its point axis by actuating the cables that are connected to it resulting in movement of the pawl which is movably connected to the release lever. The movement of the pawl allows a movable catch to disengage a striker to permit the opening of the deck lid.
