Abstract: A dual compartment UV sterilization box is disclosed. The UV sterilization box includes a support frame 112. The support frame 112 defines a first cavity 104 and a second cavity 106. The UV sterilization box 100 further includes an outer sheet 102 that covers the support frame 112 wholly from an outer side. Furthermore, the UV sterilization box 100 includes an inner first sheet covering 142 that is configured to define the first cavity 104 and an inner second sheet covering 1062 configured to define the second cavity 106.
[0001] The present disclosure is generally related to a ultraviolet sterilization (UV)
box and more particularly to a dual compartment UV sterilization box.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0002] Viral outbreaks recently have proved to be highly contagious and a huge
10 problem to the day today operations of logistics. Due to the high contagiousness of
viral outbreaks handling of things through various online platforms or even after a
physical shopping spree can prove to be dangerous.
[0003] Ultraviolet light, especially UVC light has proved to be effective in eliminating
the viral presence on a varied substances. Though, the present solutions do not
15 provide effective ways of UVC sterilization for variously sized and functionally
different items.
[0004] Therefore, there is a need for such a UV sterilization box.

[0011] FIG. 1 illustrates a line diagram of a UV sterilization box 100. The UV
sterilization box 100 can be mounted on a vehicle like a two wheeler, four wheeler,
10 three wheeler etc. The vehicle can be an electric vehicle in accordance with an
embodiment of the invention. The UV sterilization box 100 includes a support frame
112. The support frame 112 defines a first cavity 104 and a second cavity 106. The
UV sterilization box 100 further includes an outer sheet 102 that covers the support
frame 112 wholly from an outer side. Furthermore, the UV sterilization box 100
15 includes an inner first sheet covering 142 that is configured to define the first cavity
104 and an inner second sheet covering 1062 configured to define the second cavity
106.

larger dimensions than the second cavity 106.

ultraviolet (UV) dissemination unit 108A disposed within the inner first sheet
covering 1042 and a second UV dissemination unit 108B disposed within the inner

5 second sheet covering 1062. According to an embodiment of the invention the first
ultraviolet dissemination unit 108A is operable independently from the second
ultraviolet dissemination unit 108B. For example, if the first ultraviolet dissemination
unit 108A is off, then the second ultraviolet dissemination unit 108B may work
independently and vice versa. According to another embodiment of the invention
10 the first ultraviolet dissemination unit 108A is operable dependently with the second
ultraviolet dissemination unit 108B. For example, if the first ultraviolet dissemination
unit 108A is off, then the second ultraviolet dissemination unit 108B may also switch
off and vice versa.
[0016] The UV sterilization box 100 may further include a covering lid 110 that may
15 be attached to a lower part of the UV sterilization box 100 in order to completely
cover the first cavity 104 when the first UV dissemination unit(s) 108A are in
operation. The covering lid 110 may include appropriate safety structure like rubber
gauge or washer to protect UV light to leak during operation.
[0017] According to another embodiment of the invention, the inner second covering
20 1062 is in form of a drawer configured to be in open position when pulled out and
closed position when pushed in. This drawer configuration may be supported by
sliding rails 1064 as shown in the Fig. 1.
[0018] According to yet another embodiment of the invention, the support frame 112
may include a plurality of locking notches (not shown in the figure) to help locking of
25 the covering lid 110 and the drawer configuration of the inner second covering 1062.
The locking notches help in sealing and keeping the items kept within the cavities
at place.

5 [0019] According to yet another embodiment of the invention, the UV sterilization
box 100 may include power socket 114. It is to be noted that the UV sterilization box
100 may be AC powered or DC powered. Also, the UV sterilization box may be
powered through a battery of the electric vehicle on which the UV sterilization box
100 may be mounted. Further, the UV sterilization box 100 may be powered through
10 grid power or an onboard rechargeable battery.
[0020] According to yet another embodiment of the invention, the UV sterilization
box 100 may further include control electronics 118 to select the switching on and
off of the UV dissemination units 108A and 108B. Also, the UV sterilization box may
include a display module 116 to display various information to the user.

We claim
1. A vehicle mounted sterilization box comprising:
10 a support frame configured to define a first cavity and a second cavity
an outer sheet covering the support frame configured to cover the support
frame wholly;
an inner first sheet covering configured to define the first cavity;
an inner second sheet covering configured to define the second cavity;
15 wherein inner face of the inner first sheet covering and the second
sheet covering are provided with a metallic mirror finish
wherein the outer sheet covering and the inner first sheet covering and
the inner second sheet covering define a cavity in between
a first ultraviolet dissemination unit disposed within the first cavity;
20 a second ultraviolet dissemination unit disposed within the second cavity.
2. The vehicle mounted sterilization box of claim 1, further comprising a power
inlet configured to draw power from battery of electric vehicle.
3. The vehicle mounted sterilization box of claim 1, wherein the support frame is
made up of SSL316 material.
25 4. The vehicle mounted sterilization box of claim 1, wherein the first cavity has
larger dimensions than the second cavity.
5. The vehicle mounted sterilization box of claim 1, wherein the metallic mirror
finish provides 360 degrees sterilization of objects kept within.

5 6. The vehicle mounted sterilization box of claim 1, further comprising a covering
lid for the first cavity configured to be connected on a lower part of the first
cavity in order to provide complete access to the first cavity.
7. The vehicle mounted sterilization box of claim 6, wherein the inner second
covering is in form of a drawer configured to be in open position when pulled
10 out and closed position when pushed in.
8. The vehicle mounted sterilization box of claim 1, wherein the support frame
includes locking notches to provide locking of the covering lid of the first cavity
and the drawer configuration of the second cavity.
9. The vehicle mounted sterilization box of claim 1, wherein the first ultraviolet
15 dissemination unit is operable independently from the second ultraviolet
dissemination unit.
10.The vehicle mounted sterilization box of claim 1, wherein the first ultraviolet
dissemination unit and the second ultraviolet dissemination unit are ultraviolet
bulbs, ultraviolet tubes, or ultraviolet LED lamps.
20 11.A dual compartment Ultraviolet (UV) sterilization box comprising:
a support frame configured to define a first cavity and a second cavity
an outer sheet covering the support frame configured to cover the support
frame wholly;
an inner first sheet covering configured to cover the first cavity;
25 an inner second sheet covering configured to cover the second cavity;
wherein inner face of the inner first sheet covering and the second
sheet covering are provided with a metallic mirror finish

5 wherein the outer sheet covering and the inner first sheet covering and
the inner second sheet covering define a cavity in between
a first ultraviolet dissemination unit disposed within the first cavity;
a second ultraviolet dissemination unit disposed within the second cavity.
12.The ultraviolet sterilization box of claim 11, wherein the ultraviolet sterilization
10 box is powered through an onboard rechargeable battery, or external power
source.
13.The ultraviolet sterilization box of claim 11, wherein the ultraviolet sterilization
box is AC or DC powered.
14.The ultraviolet sterilization box of claim 11, wherein the first ultraviolet
15 dissemination unit is operable independently from the second ultraviolet
dissemination unit.
15.The ultraviolet sterilization box of claim 11, further comprises various control
electronics on an electronic panel placed on the outer sheet covering.
