Abstract: ABSTRACT A SECURE UNIVERSAL MEDICAL DATABASE It is human nature to dump the records of past that are of no use in present. Similarly, no stress is laid upon maintaining a database of such records of patient’s medication on a large scale. Although, Hospitals keep a record of all patients they have treated. So, keeping this in mind, the proposed invention “A SECURE UNIVERSAL MEDICAL DATABASE” aims at providing help in such distress situations. The application is designed to store and maintain records of patients, hospital working and associated aspects with it on a global scale ensuring that everyone has access to the application including hospital administrators, doctors and patients.

1. A Universal Medical Records application accessible to patients, doctors and hospital administrators, which Leads to a far superior medical aid.
2. The Application as claimed in claim 1, further comprises of mechanism where patients have access to their past medical records and can update their personal information.
3. The Application as claimed in claim 1, further aids doctors in making new medical prescription referring to their past records.
4. The Application as claimed in claim 1, further provides security in tampering medical records by hospital administration as One-Time-Password is forwarded to patient’s registered mobile number before altering records.
5. The Application as claimed in claim 1, further comprises of Blockchain technology which is used for encryption and authentication along with offering secure Storage of data.
6. The Application as claimed in claim 1, works on the source code which is written in React.js, Node.js, Express.js and MongoDB, it could be extended to cross-platforms and ported into any other software, unlike Existing traditional software.
7. The Application as claimed in claim 1, further aids during medical exigency as the hospital can find the emergency contacts of the patient using the portal.
8. The Application as claimed in claim 1, further comprises of chatbot available in different languages to understand symptoms of patients and recommends doctors accordingly and Chatbot further helps patients to schedule an appointment with recommended doctor of patient’s choice.

BACKGROUND STUDY OF THE INVENTION
[0001] Everyday there are hundreds of people who visit doctors due to one or other reason and get themselves prescribed with medication. Many of the available medicines at medical stores are not sold unless prescribed by doctor as they are harmful to our body if consumed in excess and also certain drugs/medicines have counter effect on body if taken with wrong medicine together. Although many people keep records of their past medication but many are there who lose track of all medicines they took. If patient is admitted under different doctor, the doctor requires past medical records to avoid any mishap with patient as drugs are to be taken cautiously. So, it becomes difficult for doctor to prescribe new medicines. Health is wealth, this is a general saying indicating what a healthy person can contribute in comparison to an ill person. Maintaining a perfect health and considering patient’s safety, healthcare sector has gained high attention in recent years from professionals and health policymakers. Whenever any person visits a doctor for health checkups or for any reason, doctor prepares a local prescription and diagnoses the patient with necessary medications. After the prescription is over, usually patients lose the track of medicines they were taking as directed by doctor/physician. Now; if the patient is admitted under a different doctor, the doctor may require the past records of patient of what medication they were on, which aren’t available anymore. So, it becomes difficult for doctors to make a prescription of new medicines while at the same time avoiding any reactions in body.
[0002] Tacking to this problem of lost records by individuals is a grave concern for doctors. There is a traditional practice of keeping medical records of patients by hospitals to tackle this issue. Patients can physically visit hospitals to have access to their records but this practice is of no use when it comes to emergencies like when any person meets with an accident and is admitted to different hospital. So, keeping this in mind, the software-based invention is proposed to provide help in such distress situations. the application is proposed to store medical database of patients on portal that can be universally accessed doctors.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0003] The proposed invention “A Secure Universal Medical Database” is built using cutting-edge technologies like Node.js, Express.js, MongoDB, Angular and React.js ensuring robust solutions maintaining atomicity, low-latency, isolation and durability.
[0004] The invention aims at providing help in distress situations where patients sometimes happen to lose track of their medical history for future reference. Application is designed to maintain Universal Medical records of patients, working of hospitals and aspects associated with the same, which leads to far superior medical aid. It also supports chatbot available in different languages, which helps user by analyzing their symptoms and suggesting appropriate doctor.
[0005] Novel application, storing medical database would be based on a global platform providing access to patients, doctors and hospital administration at all times. So, if there is a case of emergency, doctors can review patients’ medical history in no time and hospitals can also access emergency contacts of patient using the portal.
[0006] To maintain privacy on designed portal, two separate logins would be provided for hospitals and patients. Blockchain technology is used for encryption and authentication along with offering secure storage of data. While both the parties have access to viewing medical history, none of the above parties can alter medical records on their own. Patients can also edit their personal information on portal.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS
[0007] The proposed invention “A Secure Universal Database” is an application-based portal where medical records of patients can be accessed universally by patients, doctors
and administrative authority of hospitals. This ensures old records are not lost and can be accessed during the time of need through the portal. [0008] The portal provides access to medical records through a secure login credentials. Portal is segregated into 3 sectors; namely patient information, admin information and doctor information. Each of these can be accessed by specific individual only like a doctor can access doctor’s portal while patients’ have access to patient portal only.
[0009] Any Patient can access their portal only by entering correct login id and password. On gaining access to patient’s portal, a patient can perform certain tasks, one of them is viewing and editing their personal information. Patient has access to view their past medical records. Also, patient can view analysis of report prepared by doctor and statistics as well as symptoms of disease which he is suffering from. Patients are denied access to alter their medical records to avoid forging of fake documents.
[0010] Hospital administrator can access their portal by entering correct login id and password. On gaining access to the portal, admin can perform 2 major functions, one of them is viewing analysis report of patient and statistics of disease. Other function performed by admin is viewing and updating patient’s medical records which can only be done after entering One-Time-Password provided by patient at the same instant. Also, administrator is responsible of making appointments of patients with doctors through portal and can sign up patients with no previous medical records.
[0011] Doctor can access their portal by entering correct login id and password. On gaining access to the portal, doctor can perform 2 major functions, one of them is viewing patient’s record. For viewing records, doctor first has to ask for permission from patient which, when granted allows doctor to view past medical records of patient that helps doctor in better analyzing patient. The other function which doctor performs is preparing analysis report and adding new medicines as prescription which can be viewed by patient on updating portal by administrator. Doctor can also view symptoms and diseases of patient. Also, on coordinating with administrator, doctor signs up for new entry on portal.
[0012] The server performs the function of sending acknowledgement to patient regarding authentication, one-time-passwords and updated medical records.

The Software could be based on a cross-platform to ensure that the application can be accessed independently, thereby enhancing the ease of accessibility. The novel concept can be built using cutting-edge technologies like Node.js, Express.js, MongoDB, Angular and React.js to ensure robust solutions maintaining atomicity, consistency, isolation and durability.
[0015] There would be two separate logins for the hospital and the patient to guarantee privacy. No new changes and additions to the medical database can be made by patients and doctors. They can only view the records. In order to keep the system secure, the hospital administrator can solely enter new medical records into the database. To make the system more secure, the addition of a new medical record of a patient by the administrator is only possible once the patient shares the One Time Password they received at that instant. To safeguard sensitive data using blockchain technologies, the application could use strong encryption, validation and authentication.
[0016] A chatbot that first learns the patient’s symptoms and then suggests relevant doctors. The chatbot could also assist the patient in making an appointment with a doctor of their choice who has been recommended.
ADVANTAGES OF THE INVENTION
1. Traditional medical database is based on individual hospitals’ record which can be accessed by physically visiting the hospitals. However, this idea is based on a ubiquitous platform that makes it accessible to the administrators of all hospitals across globe.
2. As patients lose track of old medical records, now they won’t have to worry about the same as records will be uploaded on the application. Also, this novel concept will lead to better analysis and less hassle on the part of the patient.
3. Chatbot based on multiple languages will help in easier communication and will provide suggestions for doctors based upon symptoms of patient. It may also be used for easy appointments.
4. In case of emergencies, hospitals can have an immediate background check of medical history of patient and can also communicate with emergency contact as updated by patient on portal.
