Specification

DESC:FIELD OF INVENTION:
The present invention relates to fire detector system. More particularly, the present invention relates to a tool to facilitate cleaning and servicing of fire detector system with ease. The present invention further relates to a method of cleaning and servicing of fire detector system using the said tool.

BACKGROUND AND PRIOR ART:
Fire detectors or smoke detectors are usually located on or inside the false ceiling. It is difficult to reach out to the detectors which are installed at a height or inside the false ceiling located at the top of actual ceiling.

Conventionally, said fire detector or smoke detector sensor is manually removed for cleaning and servicing and later fitted back. Thus, in places where false ceiling height is more and in places where the smoke detectors are installed inside the false ceiling, the manual approach becomes difficult.

Further, these detectors need to be cleaned regularly, otherwise, the system may give false alarm. Since, cleaning and servicing of smoke detector sensorsare done manually,it makes it difficult to access the detectors which are not approachable easily.

Thus, there is a need of a service tool to easily detach the detectors for cleaning and servicing and then placing it back again. The present invention thus discloses a tool to facilitate cleaning and servicing of fire detector system with ease.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION:
It is an object of the present invention to provide a tool to facilitate detaching and attaching of the said detectors for cleaning and servicing.

It is another object of the present invention to provide a convenient, safe and time saving tool to facilitate cleaning and servicing of fire detector system with ease.

It is another object of the present invention to provide a tool to facilitate access to smoke detectors which are at height and difficult to access.

The fire detector service tool according to the present invention mainly comprises, a locking means with projections and an extendable shaft fastened to said locking mechanism. The said locking means provides locking arrangement for detector so that it can be easily removed and fitted again after cleaning and servicing.

Further, the said projections are same as that of the smoke detectors for easy locking.

The present invention further relates to a method of cleaning and servicing of fire detector system using the said tool.
