Abstract: The present disclosure provides a soap bar formulation, which has high moisture content that can be processed by conventional means of soap extrusion.
CLIAMS:1. A soap bar comprising of:
a. a base comprising of:
i. at least one soap; and
ii. at least one filler;
b. a liquid phase comprising of;
i. at least one surfactant; and
ii. water,
wherein said soap bar moisture level is in the range of 25-35%.
2. The soap bar as claimed in claim 1, wherein said soap bar moisture level is in the range of 26-32% of said soap bar.
3. The soap bar as claimed in claim 1, wherein said at least one filler is insoluble in water or alcohol.
4. The soap bar as claimed in claim 1, wherein said liquid phase weight percentage in said soap bar is in the range of 5-35%.
5. The soap bar as claimed in claim 1, wherein said liquid phase viscosity is in the range of 50-1000cp.
6. The soap bar as claimed in claim 1, wherein said at least one soap weight percentage is 75-92%, said filler weight percentage is 5-15%, said at least one surfactant weight percentage is 5-25%.
7. The soap bar as claimed in claim 1, optionally further comprising of suitable excipients selected from the group consisting of at least one free fatty acid, at least one humectants, at least one polymer, at least one preservative, at least one polymer, at least one silicone, at least one viscosity modifier, at least one color, and at least one fragrance.
8. An opaque soap bar comprising of:
a. a base composition, said base composition comprising of:
i. at least one soap having weight percentage of 81%;
ii. at least one insoluble filler having weight percentage of 12%;
iii. at least one surfactant having weight percentage of 3%;
iv. at least one free fatty acid having weight percentage of 1.8%;
v. at least one humectant having weight percentage of 1.1%;
vi. at least one polymer having weight percentage of 0.1%;
vii. at least one preservative having weight percentage of 0.05%; and
viii. water having weight percentage of QS to 100%.
b. a liquid phase composition, said liquid phase composition comprising of:
i. at least one polymer having weight percentage of 0.07%;
ii. at least one silicone having weight percentage of 0.63%;
iii. at least one surfactant having weight percentage of 19.0%;
iv. at least one viscosity modifier having weight percentage of 1.5%; and
v. water having weight percentage of QS to 100%
9. The opaque soap bar as claimed in claim 9, wherein said base composition optionally further comprises of:
a. color having weight percentage of 0.001%;
b. fragrance having weight percentage of 0.3%.
10. The opaque soap bar as claimed in claim 9, wherein said liquid phase composition optionally further comprises of:
a. fragrance having weight percentage of 0.7%.
11. The opaque soap bar as claimed in claim 9, wherein said liquid phase viscosity is 400cp.
