FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a wired bone conduction device. More particularly, it is a wired bone conduction headphone that transmits the sound through the cheekbone to the cochlea directly.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

The use of conventional earphones and ear-buds, for listening to music and other audio content, hinders the ability of persons to detect ambient sound in their environment as they perform daily activities or take part in other pursuits such as walking, running, skiing, driving, skating, biking, or working. Because the earphones or earbuds cover or are within a person's ear canal. The wired bone-conduction microphone be exactly the bone that utilizes people, skin, muscle, etc. As the medium of conduct vibrations, only the vibration plane of its wired bone-conduction microphone need be close to the user's health, as the cheek position, the vibration being produced can be passed to people by the bone-conduction microphone.

Bone conduction is the conduction of sound to the inner ear primarily through the bones of the skull, allowing the hearer to perceive audio content without blocking the ear canal. Bone conduction transmission occurs constantly as sound waves vibrate bone, specifically the bones in the skull, although it is hard for the average individual to distinguish sound being conveyed through the bone as opposed to the sound being conveyed through the air via the ear canal. Intentional transmission of sound through bone can be used with individuals with normal hearing as with bone-conduction headphones or as a treatment option for certain types of hearing impairment. Bone generally conveys lower-frequency sounds better than higher-frequency sounds.
In recent decades, the use of wired and wireless headphones has increased in numerous occupational sectors of business. Call centres are one of the most active and fastest expanding industries in the world, where communication headsets are required to conduct fundamental tasks. Young call centre workers are more prone to acquire a hearing condition, and frequent exposure to loud noise can result in permanent damage and hearing loss. Noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL) is the name for this condition. Noise-induced hearing loss manifests itself in the form of hissing, clicking, or buzzing sounds, which are especially common in young people who work in call centres.
The employees in call centres or BPOs work 8 hours a day and wear headphones for 7-8 hours of that time. As a result, they are the most vulnerable people of the Noise induced hearing loss. Which raises the risk of migraines, anxiety, insomnia, and depression. As a result, call centre employees' productivity suffers. In this vibration transmittance process, greatly weakened the oscillation of sound pressure of transmitting in air, factor affected by environment is very little, and vibration is directly delivered to inner ear and make people hear sound, like this, privacy is better, in noisy environment, also can know and hear sound, therefore, above-mentioned many benefits are expanded the application of bone-conduction microphone greatly.
The proposed device does not use physical ears so, even on the longer usage of the device ears are not damaged and do not cause Noise-induced hearing loss.
US20090060231A1 patent document discloses a stereo headphone includes a first audio element and a second audio element to be positioned against sides of a user's head in which each of the first and second audio elements is configured to transmit audio signals through bone to the auditory system of the user.
US6643378B2 patent document discloses a bone conduction hearing aid includes a vibrator carried by the insertion end of the hearing aid. When the hearing aid is inserted into the ear canal of a patient, the vibrator is positioned in the ear canal adjacent the mastoid bone. The microphone receives sound waves and outputs a microphone signal to the hearing aid electronics where the microphone signal is amplified and then sent to the vibrator, causing the vibrator to vibrate. Vibrations produced by the vibrator are transferred to the opposite cochlea by way of the mastoid bone, enabling enhanced hearing perception in patients with hearing loss in one ear. Transfer of vibrations to the bones of the middle ear also assists patients with conductive pathology in one ear. The hearing aid may also function to enhance communication in high noise environments.
US6456721B1 patent document discloses a headset with both a bone conduction speaker and a microphone is: excellent in fittingness to a wearer's head; free from any feeling of physical disorder; comfortable in use for a long period of time; and, substantially free from howling produced between the bone conduction speaker and the microphone, and has its headband run round the back part and the top part of the head. The headband has its opposite ends carry a pair of head pads held in abutting contact with opposite sides of the head. At least one of the head pads carries both the bone conduction speaker and the microphone.
The problem associated with the prior art is the headphones are directly plugged into the ear canal and it can become a barrier for the ears' air passage. This blockage can become a common cause of different types of ear infections. It can increase the risk of ear infection if the usage of earphones increases and transmit the sound through ear directly in conventional technology.
None of the hearing care device and system that can use bone conduction technology to transmit the sound through cheekbone to cochlea directly as well as monitor the hearing pattern of the user. The inventors of present invention came up with new invention which is wired bone conduction device with microphone employs bone conduction technology to transmit sound as vibrations through the cheekbone, bypassing physical ears and straight to the cochlea. The proposed invention device does not use physical ears so, even on the longer usage of the device ears are not damaged and does not cause noise induced hearing loss. The present invention is more accurate, reliable, compact and user-friendly device.
