Additional Carrier Types For Lte

Abstract: A method for transmitting and receiving a carrier segment in a wireless communications system including a base station and a user equipment is disclosed. The carrier segment includes a first band having a first bandwidth and a second band having a second bandwidth wherein a first segment gap is disposed in a frequency domain between the first band and the second band.
