Abstract: The present invention relates to an air cooling device with foldable legs to adjust the height of the device as per user requirements. The legs can be opened and folded for increasing and decreasing the height respectively of the air cooling device. Said air cooler eliminates the need to purchase separate trolley or table to place the air cooling device which is not only difficult to carry but also creates space constraints. The air cooling device of the present invention is very much easy and convenient to store during off season period by folding the legs.
FIELD OF THE INVENTION:
[001] The present invention relates to a portable air cooling device. More particularly, the instant invention relates to an air cooling device having foldable legs in order to enable portability and adjustment of the height of said cooling device.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION:
[002] The conventional air coolers available in the market perform the cooling by means of a pump, a fan and a cooling media including a honeycomb pad or wood-wool. Said coolers also require continuous use water and electricity for the purpose of performing cooling function. Said air coolers are not required during winters and must be stored thereby utilizing a lot of space.
[003] There are certain models of air coolers that may be used with or without trolleys. The heights of said air coolers are suitable for a certain level, but in case the user desires the air delivery much higher, the separate trolleys or tables are employed to lift the cooler to such height. For instance, in case wherein the window coolers are not mounted on a window, said coolers may be installed inside the homes by way of a trolley or a table.
[004] Such a cooling device has been described in US20100164256A1. Said invention relates to a foldable chair, which includes a forced air cooling system. The foldable chair includes a frame member. A flexible seat, which includes a meshed back rest suspends from the frame member. A fan bag, which has a pocket, is attached to the meshed back rest of the flexible seat. A fan is located at the bottom of the fan bag and is electrically disconnectable to a re-chargeable power source that is housed in a housing, which has an ON/OFF toggle switch so as to supply power to the fan.
[005] Such a cooling device is disclosed in CN203548076. Said invention relates to a booster engine air cooler installing support. The booster engine air cooler installing
support is characterized by comprising an upper rectangular support (1). Four supporting legs (3) are respectively hinged to the bottom of the upper support (1). Two of the supporting legs (3) are connected through a first connecting rod (2), the positions where the two ends of the first connecting rod (2) are connected with the two supporting legs (3) are provided with long grooves (5) respectively, and therefore the opening angle of the two supporting legs (3) can be adjusted. The other two supporting legs (3) are connected through a second connecting rod (4), the positions where the two ends of the second connecting rod (4) are connected with the two supporting legs (3) are provided with long grooves (5) respectively, and therefore the opening angle of the two supporting legs (3) can be adjusted. The booster engine air cooler installing support is adjustable in span and suitable for installing various wind power booster engine air coolers; in addition, assembly time can be saved and the stability of the air coolers can be improved during booster engine air cooler installation.
[006] Such a cooling device is disclosed in US4239459. Said invention relates to Method and apparatus for improving building heating and cooling, wherein relatively cooler air is circulated upwardly from adjacent the floor of a room or other space. The upwardly projected relatively cooler air displaces relatively warmer air from the upper part of the room or space, and the warmer air is displaced to a lower level, thereby tending to equalize the air temperatures at different levels of the room or space. The apparatus used for air circulation is adapted for use also in periods when cooling is required, as in summer, in a disposition to propel air horizontally. The apparatus structure includes adjustable legs permitting use of the fan or blower in dual positions.
[007] Such a cooling device is disclosed in US6644300. Said invention relates to A portable blower heater/cooler apparatus for providing 360 degrees of air-forced heat. The portable blower heater/cooler apparatus includes a base housing assembly including a base housing member being mounted upon leg members and having an opening through a top thereof and also having a screen forming a side of the base housing member; and also includes a heater/cooler assembly including a support plate being fastenable over the
opening of the base housing member, and also including a plurality of heating/cooling elements being mounted upon the support plate; and further including a cover being fastenably mounted upon the base housing member and over the heater/cooler assembly; and also includes a fan assembly including a motor being fastenably disposed in the base housing member and having a shaft rotatably attached to the motor, and also including impellers being mounted to the shaft for creating flow of air.
[008] The air coolers, as described in the prior art, do not provide the feature of height adjustment, require a lot of space and need the use tables or trolleys for the convenience of the user.
OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION:
[009] The objective of the present invention is to design an air cooling device that provides the feature of height adjustment so as to increase the height of said air cooler as per the convenience of the user.
[010] The instant invention achieves the objective by designing an air cooling device having foldable legs thereby enabling the portability and adjustment of height of said air cooling device.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION:
[011] The present invention relates to a portable air cooling device. More particularly, the instant invention relates to an air cooling device having foldable legs in order to enable portability and adjustment of the height of said cooling device.
[012] According to an embodiment of the present invention, there is provided an air cooling device with In-built legs which are foldable to increase or decrease its height as per user convenience and requirements. It eliminates the need to purchase separate trolley
or table to place the air cooling device which is not only difficult to carry but also creates space constraints. The air cooling device of the present invention is very much easy and convenient to store during off season period by folding the legs.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION:
[030] In the following detailed description, a reference is made to the accompanying drawings that form a part hereof, and in which the specific embodiments that may be practiced is shown by way of illustration. These embodiments are described in sufficient detail to enable those skilled in the art to practice the embodiments and it is to be understood that the logical, mechanical and other changes may be made without departing from the scope of the embodiments. The following description is therefore not to be taken in a limiting sense.
[031] According to preferred embodiment of the present subject matter described herein, an air cooling device with in built or foldable legs is provided which is portable and adjustable in its height.
[032] Figure 1 illustrates the layout design of the air cooler with foldable legs according to the present invention. The air cooler comprises of Motor, Pump, Front grill, Side grills,
Control panel, Tank, top cover, Brackets and Folding Legs for increasing and decreasing the height of the air cooler. The Tank capacity varies from lOltr to 1201tr and the cooling media used inside the cooler is Wood Wool or Honeycomb. The Controls are either Manual switch or PCB (electronic) assisted. The air delivery mode is through Fan blade or Blower assisted. The body material of the air cooler is either Plastics & Metal. It is fitted with or without castor wheels for its mobility and depending upon the needs of the customer. The air current is deflected in four directions. It has a water level indicator to indicate the level of water in the tank. The Remote control and Mosquito /net filter are optional.
[033] The bottom part of the air cooler comprises of the water tank. The foldable legs are hinged to the bottom of the water tank through bracket fixed to the bottom of said water tank. The foldable legs are attached to the right end & left end of water tank through supporting brackets. The legs can be opened or folded for increasing or decreasing the height of the air cooler respectively. The legs are fitted with castor wheel at the bottom of the legs to allow its mobility in the area where it is used. However, the use of castor wheels is optional.
[034] The advantage of the present invention is that it eliminates the need for a separate trolley or table for increasing the height of the air cooler. Further, it reduces space constraints and is more convenient to store during off season period by folding the legs.
[035] The exploded views of the evaporative air cooler thereby defining the components of said cooler are described in Figure 15. The maj or components of said evaporative cooler are as follows:

[036] The features and steps of folding the legs of the evaporative air cooler are illustrated in Figure 16. The steps are as follows:
1. Step: A - Unlock the left leg from left brackets mounted on tank by pulling the
locks by finger as shown in said figure
(Pull Lock L-Front <1> & Pull Lock L -Rear <2>)
2. Step: B - Fold the left leg <3> Inwards
3. Step: C - Fold the left leg until it rest into the cavity built into bottom-side of Tank (a feature <4> is provided in leg which will engage the leg & does not let the Leg fall back itself)
4. Step: D - Unlock the right leg from right brackets mounted on tank by pulling the locks by finger as shown in figure
(Pull Lock R-Front <5> & Pull Lock R-Rear<6>)
5. Step: E - Fold the right leg Inwards until it rest on the left folded leg (a feature
<7> is provided in leg which will engage the leg & does not let the Leg fall back
itself).
CLAIMS
We Claim
An air cooling device, said device comprising of:
i. a motor;
ii. a pump;
iii. front grill;
iv. side grills;
v. control panel;
vi. a tank;
vii. a top cover;
viii. a fan blade; and
ix. cooling media;
characterized in that folding legs with mounting brackets are provided in said cooling device that are capable of being folded thereby adjusting the height of said cooling device.
2. The cooling device as claimed in Claim 1, wherein the capacity of the tank of said cooling device ranges from 10L to 120L.
3. The cooling device as claimed in Claim 1, wherein foldable legs are hinged to the bottom of the water tank through brackets fixed to the bottom of said water tank.
4. The method of folding the legs of the cooling device as claimed in Claim 1, said method comprising the steps of:
i. unlocking the left leg from left brackets mounted on the tank by pulling
the locks; ii. folding the left leg inwards;
iii. folding the left leg until it rest into the cavity built into bottom-side of the tank;
iv. unlocking the right leg from right brackets mounted on the tank by pulling
the locks; and v. folding the right leg inwards until it rest on the left folded leg.
