The following specification particularly describes the nature of this invention & the manner in which it is performed:
, The present invention relates to "AIR TIGHT PACKING FOR COPPER RODS".
Copper Rods, if treated with some inhibitor (wax coating) as soon they are produced can retain their original colour for a long period and can be prevented from getting oxidized , thus perform much better during wire drawing operations. However, this inhibitor is inefficient to protect the coils from long exposure to humid conditions especially when coils are shipped in closed containers. All containers contain moisture from the time of loading & in the cargo. No container is airtight. Moisture will more in & out of the container during the course of the voyage called as " Container Breathing".
So we have designed an air tight bag for the packing of coil & one kilogram of high quality desiccants will be put inside the small enclosed space of bag, capable of absorbing 1 libe of water which gives capable of protection to coil from the atmospheric moisture. It can be expected that the coil will have at least 6 months of tarnishing free self life counter the bag is not physically teased offs.
The main objective of the present invention is to retain the physical appearance pf CC Rods irrespective of storage and transit conditions by avoiding oxidation when exposed to humid atmosphere conditions and to improve performance during subsequent processing.
DESCRIPTION OF THE PRESENT INVENTION :-
Copper produces all over the word face the problem of tarnishing / oxidation of coils during storage & transportation. Due to fresh humid air, copper rods get corroded. The present invention based on theory that if the copper coil is not allowed to come in contact with fresh humid air or external water, it can retain the brightness.
The present invention comprising of following steps :-
A big water proof bag is taken to accommodate a enough full copper coil.
The wooden pallet is placed on the coiler basket and the bag is placed on the pallet in such a manner so as the coil shall directly fall into the bag.
After the coil is formed , it will be packed by using a methalic strap to hold the coil.
Before realing the bag team top desiccant is put inside the bag.
At last the coil is strapped with pallet including bag without puncturing.
ADVANTAGES:
The present invention is Air tight packing. It prevents moisture to enter into coil packing there by reducing coil tarnishing.
WE CLAIMS:-
(1) The present invention "Air Tight Packing for Copper Rods" comprising of following steps
(a) a big water proof bag is obtain to accommodate the full copper coil
(b) the wooden pallet is placed inside the coiler basket and the bag is placed on the pallet in such a manner so as coil shall directly fall into the bag.
(c) after the coil is formed, it will be packed by will be packed by using a metodlic strap to hold the coil
(d) Before sealing the bag from top desiccant is put inside the bag..
(e) At the end, the coil is strap with the pallet inducing the bag without puncturing.
