"Position Detecting Device For Two Wheeler Side Stand"
Abstract: The present invention relates to a position detecting device of a side stand of a two wheeled vehicle that allows vehicle to operate only when side stand is in safe zone. If the side stand is in its forwardly inclined service position a first magnetic field generating element is sensed by a magnetic field detecting means thus a signal indicating that side stand is in unsafe zone is generated and sent to the controller unit of the vehicle. Even if the side stand remains at any position within the angle zone as indicated by angle (Q) still either of the magnetic field generating elements is sensed by the magnetic field detecting means and accordingly the signal indicating that side stand is in unsafe zone is sent to the controller unit. The controller unit processes the signal and subject to other interlocks and bypass circuits renders the vehicle inoperative.
