Abstract: The present invention relates to an in house rapid method of producing a 50 base pair ladder using pUC57 mini vectors and lamda (?) DNA. The present invention also relates to an in house method wherein synthetically made pUC57 mini vector containing segments from lamda (?) DNA and introduced with EcoRV restriction sites at appropriate positions using SnapGene is constructed. The present invention discloses a method for producing 100 base pair ladder using pUC57 mini vector has an advantage of being quite cost effective and efficient in analysis.
