Abstract: The present disclosure discloses an opaque hand dish-wash composition comprising: (a) at least one anionic surfactant; (b) at least one amphoteric surfactant; (c) at least one buffer system; (d) at least one opacifying agent; and (e) at least one pearlizing agent, wherein the at least one opacifying agent to the at least one pearlizing agent weight ratio is in a range of 1:60 - 1:6. A process of preparation of the same is also disclosed.
I/We Claim:
1) An opaque hand dish-wash composition comprising:
(a) at least one anionic surfactant;
(b) at least one amphoteric surfactant;
(c) at least one buffer system;
(d) at least one opacifying agent; and
(e) at least one pearlizing agent,
wherein the at least one opacifying agent to the at least one pearlizing agent weight ratio is in a range of 1:60 - 1:6.
2) The opaque hand dish-wash composition as claimed in claim 1, wherein the at least one anionic surfactant to the at least one amphoteric surfactant weight ratio is in the range of 50:1 - 70:1.
3) The opaque hand dish-wash composition as claimed in claim 1, wherein the at least one anionic surfactant to the at least one buffer system weight ratio is in the range of 15:1-25:1.
4) The opaque hand dish-wash composition as claimed in claim 1, wherein the at least one anionic surfactant to the at least one opacifying agent weight ratio is in the range of 25:1 -1800:1.
5) The opaque hand dish-wash composition as claimed in claim 1, wherein the at
least one anionic surfactant is selected from the group consisting of linear alkyl
benzene sulphonic acid (LABSA), alpha olefin sulphonate (AOS), and sodium
lauryl ether sulphate (SLES), and combination thereof.
6) The opaque hand dish-wash composition as claimed in claim 5, wherein the at least one anionic surfactant is a combination of linear alkyl benzene sulphonic acid (LABSA), alpha olefin sulphonate (AOS), and sodium lauryl ether sulphate (SLES).
7) The opaque hand dish-wash composition as claimed in claim 6, wherein linear alkyl benzene sulphonic acid (LABSA) to the combination of alpha olefin
sulphonate, and sodium lauryl ether sulphate (AOS+SLES) weight ratio is in a range of 5:2 to 5:3
8) The opaque hand dish-wash composition as claimed in claim 1, wherein the at least one amphoteric surfactant is cocamidopropyl betaine (CAPB).
9) The opaque hand dish-wash composition as claimed in claim 1, wherein the at least one buffer system comprises at least one electrolyte, and at least one booster.
10) The opaque hand dish-wash composition as claimed in claim 9, wherein the at least one electrolyte is sodium chloride.
11) The opaque hand dish-wash composition as claimed in claim 9, wherein the at least one booster is selected from the group consisting of trisodium citrate, disodium citrate, and combinations thereof.
12) The opaque hand dish-wash composition as claimed in claim 9, wherein the at least one electrolyte to the at least one booster weight ratio is in a range of 4:1 -2:1.
13) The opaque hand dish-wash composition as claimed in claim 1, wherein the at least one opacifying agent is viscofil white.
14) The opaque hand dish-wash composition as claimed in claim 1, wherein the at least one pearlizing agent is selected from the group consisting of ethylene glycol distearate (EGDS).
15) The opaque hand dish-wash composition as claimed in claim 1, further comprises at least one excipient selected from the group consisting of neutralizing agent, antioxidant, viscosity modifier, chelating agent and combinations thereof.
16) A process of preparing the opaque hand dish-wash composition as claimed in claim 1, the process comprising:
(a) obtaining at least one anionic surfactant;
(b) obtaining at least one amphoteric surfactant;
(c) obtaining at least one buffer system;
(d) obtaining at least one opacifying agent;
(e) obtaining at least one pearlizing agent; and
(f) contacting the at least one anionic surfactant, the at least one amphoteric surfactant, the at least one buffer system, the at least one opacifying agent, the at least one pearlizing agent to obtain the opaque hand dish-wash composition.
17) A process of preparing the opaque hand dish-wash composition as claimed in claim 15, the process comprising:
(a) obtaining at least one anionic surfactant;
(b) obtaining at least one amphoteric surfactant;
(c) obtaining at least one buffer system;
(d) obtaining at least one opacifying agent;
(e) obtaining at least one pearlizing agent;
(f) obtaining at least one excipient; and
(g) contacting the at least one anionic surfactant, the at least one amphoteric surfactant, the at least one buffer system, the at least one opacifying agent, the at least one pearlizing agent, and at least one excipient to obtain the opaque hand dish-wash composition.
