Abstract: Abstract of the Invention Disclosed herein a modular apparatus for vertical string garden and system thereof, wherein system  comprising plurality of modular planters detachably connected to each other and each of said containers including a receiving portion that is adapted to receive a multiple plants, and each container is detachably connected to three side hanging string from top and a joinery mechanism is having a lock system which adapted to provide secure installation to the modular planters as well as enabling easy detachable from the system. The planter is designed in a manner to provide better strength and wherein the same is fitted or removed from the system are independent to any support members. Specification

Claims:We Claim:
1. A modular apparatus for vertical string garden, the modular apparatus is adapted to mount in a vertical string garden independent to any support system, wherein said apparatus comprising:
a planting container having spherical wall structure designed to protect maximum surface area from exposure to environmental forces;
an inbuilt irrigation channel extending from 3 sides which adapted to provide to provide enable end to end in the including an opening;
a water reservoir and a drain pit at the bottom of the planter positioned centrally with the reservoir which play dual role to provide strength to the planter as well as water reservoir in absence of water in the reservoir;
a joinery mechanism having locking slots designed to secure the planting containers,
wherein said planting containers are hanging from top by employing 3 side wire rope arrangement which enable fitting and removal of the containers independent to any support members.

2. The modular apparatus for vertical string garden as claimed in claim 1, wherein said water reservoir is of optimum size and adapted to maintain root zone temperature, hold moisture required by plants, enable oxygenation of root zone.

3. The modular apparatus for vertical string garden as claimed in claim 1, wherein said water reservoir is capable of holding more than 85 ml of water per planting cavity.

4. The modular apparatus for vertical string garden as claimed in claim 1, wherein said water reservoir is capable of providing thermal insulating effect.

5. The modular apparatus for vertical string garden as claimed in claim 1, wherein said planters are adapted of planting up to 5 plants or more.

6. The modular apparatus for vertical string garden as claimed in claim 1, wherein the surface of the container is having ribs and curvatures to strengthen the module by spreading the wind load on the surface and hence providing strength and sustenance to high wind velocity, shock.

7. The modular apparatus for vertical string garden as claimed in claim 1, wherein container is having color edge at lower base to help in fixing a led strip and provide further strength.

8. The modular apparatus for vertical string garden as claimed in claim 1, wherein the planting container is having separate zone of growing media and the water reservoir.

9. The modular apparatus for vertical string garden as claimed in claim 7, wherein said growing media and reservoir is separated employing a bio blanket, consisting recycled synthetic fibers and renewable organic fibers that provide strength, longevity and grip to the root zone.

10. A modular string garden system comprising:
a plurality of modular planters detachably connected to each other and each of said containers including a receiving portion that is adapted to receive a multiple plants, and each container is detachably connected to three side hanging string from top;
an irrigation channel is inbuilt in the system including a plurality of water dispensing units enabling homogenous misting and illumination units adapted to function ornamental as well as grow light;
a joinery mechanism is having a lock system which adapted to provide secure installation to the modular planters as well as enabling easy detachable from the system,
wherein said planters fitted or removed from the system are independent to any support members.

11. The system as claimed in claim 10, wherein said system is having series of vertical modular planting container securely mounted over the string.

12. The system as claimed in claim 10, wherein said system is having inbuilt irrigation system providing irrigation, drain and illumination.

13. The system as claimed in claim 12, wherein said illumination plays a dual role of ornamental light as well as grow light.

14. The system as claimed in claim 10, wherein said system enable to grow broader plants palate and many hardy plant varieties.

15. The system as claimed in claim 10, wherein said system is employing sustainable growth media which enable to provide required the space for white roots, ensures the rate of drain within the stipulated parameters.

16. The system as claimed in claim 10, wherein water used in the irrigation system is recycled and reused.

, Description:APPARATUS AND SYSTEM FOR VERTICAL STRING GREENERY
Field of the Invention
This invention, in general relates to a green wall system. In particularly, the present invention provides a modular planter apparatus and system for sustainable string garden having both indoor and outdoor applicability.

Background of the Invention

Our environment especially the urban environment is getting from poor to worse with the increase in the concrete structures, vehicular traffic, cutting of trees. This has also increased the carbon emission, noise and air pollution. With increasing modernization by adding more vehicles, industries, various electronic devices which emits heats, leading to rise in the impurities like nitrogen oxides, sulphur oxides, carbon monoxides etc. These environmental surroundings are impacting our physical and mental wellness. It is a known fact that having a view of greenery around can increases the positive physiological responses and productivity. Therefore, the green wall having thousands of plants, multiply the benefits and has a major positive impact.

A study shows that bio-wall or living green walls work as natural air-filters, detoxifier by metabolizing harmful toxins and releasing oxygen into the air. A Green Wall is a natural insulation and helps to maintain the temperature 10 degrees cooler than an exposed wall along with maintaining the humidity level. Also, green wall has the ability to reduce electricity bills up to 20%.

Various modular living wall/green wall/bio-wall systems have been emerged in part from the use of modules for green structure. Modular system may be in different shape and size supported by panel to hold and plant growing materials. Irrigation system also plays an important role at different level along the wall to provide the required water to plant.

Various approaches have been disclosed in the prior arts in relation to develop green wall system by using different kind of planters and system arrangements along with irrigation materials.

CN203801379U titled Vertical greening plant wall provided with function of LED display screen, discloses a vertical greening plant wall provided with a function of an LED display screen. The vertical greening plant wall comprises LED display screen brackets symmetrically arranged on two sides of a wall body, a plurality of inhaul cables horizontally connected with the two LED display screen brackets and a vertical greening bracket arranged on the wall body between the two LED display screen brackets, wherein each inhaul cable is provided with a plurality of light emitting diodes, and all the light emitting diodes constitute the large LED display screen; and the vertical greening bracket is provided with a plurality of plant cultivation modules which rightly face intervals among the inhaul cables, and vertical greening plants are planted in the plant cultivation modules. The vertical greening plant wall can be used as a vertical greening and land beautifying landscape, improves the afforestation coverage in the city and the air quality, enhances the heat preservation and thermal insulation effects of an outer wall of a building, and relieves the urban heat island effect; and at the same time, the vertical greening plant wall can be used as the LED display screen to provide rich visual effects and promotion information for citizens.

CN102771345A titled Method for cultivating plant by using LED (light-emitting diode) light source and device for method, provides a method for cultivating plants by using an LED (light-emitting diode) light source. The method is characterized in that LED light source plates and the plants are placed on a cultivation rack, the LED light source plates are arranged 2-15cm above the plants and move vertically along with the growth of the plants, and the LED light source plates periodically horizontally move to irradiate the plants below the LED light source plate by turns. The invention additionally provides a device for the method. By using the device provided by the invention, the height of the light source plates can be adjusted, the advantages of an LED lamp cold light source can be exerted and utilized to the utmost extent, the vertical distance between the light source plates and the plants is minimized, the luminous intensity is reduced and the electric quantity is saved; and since the LED light source plates can be adjusted horizontally and a photo stage and a dark stage of plant growth are alternated, the light source plates in unit area can provide light for vegetables with area which is two times of the original area, the normal physiological activities at the photo stage and the dark stage of the plants below are guaranteed and the primary investment in the LED light source plates is halved at the same time.

US20160050856A1 titled Vertical garden system, provide an expandable vertical garden system comprising a frame; drip irrigation pipe(s); drainage pipe(s); a drain tray; and optionally pots or plant containers. The frame of the expandable vertical garden may comprise: holes for inserting screws which get drilled into the support wall/framework; cavities wherein pots can be snapped in and snapped out; a support element in each cavity for the pots to get good anchorage; small holes above each cavity, wherein clips to hold a horizontal irrigation pipe can be fixed in; a large hole at the bottom of the frame for inserting the drain tray; a cavity on a rear side of each frame wherein the drainage pipe can be fixed.

AU2017201808A1 titled Vertical Garden Systems and Methods discloses a garden module for a vertical garden system, the module comprising: a body having a back portion providing a mounting arrangement in the form of one or more vertically extending recessed portions. A vertical garden system comprising: a plurality of garden modules; at least one upright; each garden module having a back portion providing a mounting arrangement in the form of one or more vertically extending recessed portions for accommodating a respective one of the at least one upright.

However, currently available solutions as disclosed above have their own restrictions in developing different types of planters and system fail to meet the most important requirement of developing a cost effective sustainable string garden system. Also, it was noticed that treating, vertical greenery over odd shapes, curved surfaces, and tilted surfaces was difficult using current design and arrangement. Also, the reliable long term sustainable joinery was lacking.

Further, treating vertical spaces indoor or outdoor with minimum support mechanism is provided in any current arts. Also, the inclusion of irrigation, drain and illumination was also not securely feasible and making planted modules easily removable i.e. independent of the support members (wire ropes), drain, irrigation and illumination was a challenge.

Therefore, it would be desirable to improve the design of the planter apparatus and the system arrangement to overcome the drawbacks associated in the prior arts and meets the requirement to install the sustainable string garden system.

Summary of the Invention

According to one object of the present invention, there is provided a cost effective sustainable string garden system, wherein said system is modular and secure.

According to another object of the present invention, there is provided a vertical string garden system, wherein said system is a modular type arrangement, where modules are removed and fitted securely and easily independent to any support members.

According to one other aspect of the present invention, there is provided a modular string garden system wherein the water used in system is recycled and reused.

According to another object of the present invention, there is provided a vertical string garden system, wherein the system comprises innovative joinery mechanism to make the system strong, secure, longevity enabled.

According to another object of the present invention, there is provided a vertical string garden system, wherein the system is formed using set of strings having both indoor and outdoor applicability and provides both inside and outside greenery and wherein said system does not required any back support for installation.

According to another object of the present invention, there is provided a vertical string garden system, wherein the system is fitted to achieve new ways of creating suspended/ hanging garden and can deal the curves, tilts and assure longevity of greenery.

According to another object of the present invention, there is provided a vertical string garden system, wherein the system is useful for urban farming as well and grow broader plants palate and adapted to have many hardy plant varieties.

The above and other objects of the present invention are achieved by a unique design of the planter/planting containers and the system having said planters, wherein the design is developed by employing a reliable irrigation & drainage arrangement, water reservoir of correct size, sustaining the surface exposure to the environmental forces, by providing new ways of joinery enabling strong, secure and longevity. It also provides root anchoring, ensuring long term sustainable growth media which does not change its properties much so that it keeps on providing required space for white roots and ensures the rate of drain within the stipulated parameters. The present application details the preferred embodiments of the present invention herein below. However, it the disclosed embodiments are not limited and can be extended to understand by the person skilled in the art.

In accordance with one embodiment of the present invention, there is provided a modular planter for string garden, the modular planter is adapted to mount in a vertical string garden independent to any support system, wherein said apparatus comprising a planting container having spherical wall structure designed to protect maximum surface area from exposure to environmental forces, an inbuilt irrigation channel extending from 3 sides which adapted to provide to provide enable end to end in the including an opening, a water reservoir and a drain pit at the bottom of the planter positioned centrally with the reservoir which play dual role to provide strength to the planter as well as water reservoir in absence of water in the reservoir, a joinery mechanism having locking slots designed to secure the planting containers and wherein said planting containers are hanging from top by employing 3 side wire rope arrangement which enable fitting and removal of the containers independent to any support members.

In accordance with another embodiment of the present invention, there is provided a modular planter for string garden, wherein the surface of the container is having ribs and curvatures to strengthen the module by spreading the wind load on the surface and hence providing strength and sustenance to high wind velocity, shock. Further, lower base of the container is having color edge to help in fixing a led strip and provide further strength.

In accordance with another embodiment of the present invention, there is provided a modular planter for string garden, wherein the planting container is having separate zone of growing media and the water reservoir and wherein said growing media and reservoir is separated employing a bio blanket, consisting recycled synthetic fibers and renewable organic fibers that provide strength, longevity and grip to the root zone.

In accordance with another embodiment of the present invention, there is provided a modular string garden system comprising a plurality of modular planters detachably connected to each other and each of said containers including a receiving portion that is adapted to receive a multiple plants, and each container is detachably connected to three side hanging string from top, an irrigation channel is inbuilt in the system including a plurality of water dispensing units enabling homogenous misting and illumination units adapted to function ornamental as well as grow light, a joinery mechanism is having a lock system which adapted to provide secure installation to the modular planters as well as enabling easy detachable from the system, wherein said system is having series of vertical modular planting container securely mounted over the string and wherein said planting containers are fitted or removed from the system are independent to any support members.

In accordance with another embodiment of the present invention, there is provided a modular string garden system, wherein said system is having inbuilt irrigation system providing irrigation, drain and illumination and wherein said illumination plays a dual role of ornamental light as well as grow light.

In accordance with another embodiment of the present invention, there is provided a modular string garden system, wherein said system is employing sustainable growth media which enable to provide required the space for white roots, ensures the rate of drain within the stipulated parameters.

The foregoing and other features, utilities and advantages of various embodiments of the invention will be apparent from the following more particular description of the various embodiments of the invention as illustrated in the accompanying drawings and claims.

Brief Description of the Drawings

Figure 1 illustrates the perspective view of the planters and various features thereof.

Figure 2 and 2 a illustrates the perspective view of the system and advantage of the design and arrangement of the system

Figure 3 illustrates an irrigation system, drainage system and water reservoir functionality

Figure 4 illustrates a system of arrangement of plurality of planters with hanging wire ropes.

Description of the Invention

The following detailed description provides further details of the figures and embodiments of the present application. Reference numerals and descriptions of redundant elements between figures are omitted for clarity. Terms used throughout the description are provided as examples and are not intended to be limiting.

It is to be understood that the following disclosure describes several exemplary embodiments for implementing different features, structures, or functions of the invention. Exemplary embodiments of components, arrangements, and configurations are described below to simplify the present disclosure; however, the descriptions of these exemplary embodiments are provided merely as examples and are not intended to limit the scope of the invention.

Additionally, the present disclosure may repeat reference numerals and/or letters in the various exemplary embodiments and across the figures provided herein. This repetition is for the purpose of simplicity and clarity and does not in itself dictate a relationship between the various exemplary embodiments and/or configurations discussed in the various figures. Finally, the description of exemplary embodiments presented herein may be combined in any combination, e.g., any element from one exemplary embodiment description may be used in any other exemplary embodiment, without departing from the scope of the disclosure.

In accordance with the embodiments of the present invention, there is provided a cost effective sustainable vertical string garden system wherein the system is used for strings garden and both side indoor as well as outdoor greenery applications, and hung from top using wire ropes & special accessories. The system is having inbuilt irrigation & drain, secure space for LED lights, wherein each module/container in the system easily removable but at the same time securely fitted and wherein water used in the irrigation system is recycled and reused.

The sustainable green wall garden according to the present invention provides right size of space for roots. The advantages of said system is reliable irrigation & drainage, water reservoir of correct size, sustaining the surface exposure to the environmental forces, designing new ways of joinery making it strong, secure, longevity enabled. It also provides root anchoring; ensuring long term sustainable growth media which does not change its properties much so that it keeps on providing required the space for white roots and also ensures the rate of drain within the stipulated parameters.

According to the present invention the provided system is fitted to achieve new ways of creating suspended/ hanging garden and can deal the curves, tilts and assure longevity of greenery the system is useful for urban farming as well can grow broader plants palate & can take many hardy plant varieties. Preferably the modular planters are adapted of planting up to 5 plants or more.

The planting container/module size is optimized to provide right size of space along with achieving light weight of the system by dividing and distributing the load on larger area of contact also said module is very strong and does not get deformed or break for long run. The water reservoir of correct size is introduced in the system hold more water in the system and help in managing root zone temperature.

The dimensions, length, breadth & height of the planter container are in the best proportion. Maximum surface area is protected from exposure to environmental forces and enables to give optimum planting space, to have complete area to get covered by plants and no horizontal space is wasted between 2 planting containers.

According to the present invention, volume of growth medium is playing an important role which is effectively measured to provide desired plantation for long run. Preferably the growth medium more than 60 cubic inches which is necessary of growing plants palate for long run and make possible to provide vegetation guarantee more than 60 cubic inches per plant. 319 cubic inches of growth medium exposed to only 165 Square Inches. Ration is always less than 1 Cu. Inch : 0.43 Sqr. Inch.

Referring now to the drawings, wherein reference numerals designates different components of the planters and the system. Figure 1 details the planting container designed by having spherical wall surface, wherein said container/planting module is hung by employing three wire ropes and accessories. The wire ropes and services are pushed through slot 100 and the wire ropes and services are pushed through primary sleeves 101 and secondary sleeves 102, wherein the primary sleeves 101 enable to provide services illumination and also the space suitable for running services without disturbing continuity of services like drip lines, drain lines & led light strips, depending on the type of vegetation and vertical space between 2 rows, two options for location of drip-lines are available and wherein secondary sleeves provides wire passage enable to provide multiple options of mounting system securely on different types of surfaces. There are multiple features provided in the container to enable load distribution in the system and provide long term strength. Referring figure 1 there is an offset 104 for lower lock bush to lock wire ropes and enable to distribute the load, further the surface of the container is having ribs and curvatures 105 are designed in such a way to provide maximum strength and distributing the dead-load, & wind-load over the system. Also, container is having a lower collor edge 106 to help fixing led strip, give strength & for treating aesthetically to the planter container.

Referring figure 2 and 2 (a) details the drain system and reservoir functionality where drain pit 108 playing a dual role to as water reservoir once water crisis as well as ensuring distribution of load and wherein drain sleeves 109 are provided to connect pipe line. The water reservoir 115 designed in a manner to enable holding moisture required by plant and oxygenation of root zones, provides thermal insulating effect and restrict the extra root growth.

Figure 3 details the locking mechanism of the system, wherein a sleek slot covers 111 holds the various services along with hanging wire ropes 116 and the locking system contains upper lock bush 112 to align and hold wire rope 116 in place with in secondary sleeve 102 and lower lock bush 113 to align wire rope 116 in place and act as mounting base for module over the crimped stopper 114 fixed on wire rope 116 wherein crimped stopper 114 is crimped to take load of the system, wind velocity, vibrations and shocks.

Figure 4 details the arrangement of the planters 107 in the system and locking mechanism of the joinery. The planters are arranged vertically using wire ropes 116 and the applying a locking mechanism by locking system (112, 113 & 114) in a way to keep the system light and also provide longevity.

The term ‘green wall’, ‘bio-wall’, ‘green garden’ or ‘living wall’ used in the present invention is interchangeable and define the same meaning. It is defined as green planation for the vertical, wall of any high-rise building.

The term ‘planter’, modules, modular planter, planter container, modular planter container, container or ‘planter apparatus’ is used interchangeably and define the same meaning, where the same can be of any size and made by using any desired materials.

The foregoing has outlined features of several embodiments so that those skilled in the art may better understand the present disclosure. Those skilled in the art will also appreciate that the present disclosure may be used as a basis for designing or modifying other processes and structures for carrying out the same purposes and/or achieving the same advantages of the embodiments introduced herein. Those skilled in the art should also realize that such equivalent constructions do not depart from the scope of the present disclosure, and that they may make various changes, substitutions and alterations herein without departing from the scope of the present disclosure, as defined by the following claims.
