Abstract: Ransomware is a type of malicious software (malware) that threatens to publish or blocks access to data or a computer system, usually by encrypting it, until the victim pays a ransom fee to the attacker. In many cases, the ransom demand comes with a deadline. If the victim doesn't pay in time, the data is gone forever, or the ransom increases. There are many tools in the market with various effectiveness levels, yet the issue of ransomware is increasing rapidly. While designing our solution, we have analysed that the protective automates tools mostly try to detect ransomwares based on UBA (User Behaviour Analysis) and PBA (Process Behaviour Analysis), which is time-consuming and prone to false positives and a holistic approach. So, we developed a solution, which will not take the UBA & PBA approach – but will take an RBA (Ransomware Behaviour Analysis) system to detect and remove ransomware quickly and effectively.
