Automatic Chalkboard/Blackboard Duster Cleaner

Abstract: While teaching, dealing with chalk, blackboard, and duster is very common around the world due to their ease of usage and cost-effectiveness. But along with having advantages, it also has many disadvantages. While teaching when professors/teachers use chalk to write on the blackboard and then erase the content on the blackboard. Then when it’s time to clean that duster, we hit it on a wall, due to that a large amount of fine chalk dust is produced. Exposure to chalk dust can cause various health hazards. Hence, there is a requirement to design a machine that will clean duster without letting the chalk dust enter into the classroom environment. The automatic chalkboard/blackboard duster cleaner machine is an innovative method to avoid the dust caused by the blackboard/chalkboard duster. This machine will not only make human work easier but will also save from health hazards. Exposure to chalk dust can cause various respiratory diseases and skin problems. The duster-cleaning mechanism is a device that is capable of cleaning the duster and minimize the chalk dust content being exposed to the classroom environment. The objective of the blackboard duster cleaning mechanism is to provide a desktop device that can clean the blackboard duster without letting any human come in contact with the chalk dust.

Specification

DESC:To clean the chalkboard or blackboard duster, we hit it on a wall or a surface. Hitting it against a wall or any surface causes a large amount of chalk dust to produce. Students especially teachers and professors come in contact with it. Chalkdust does not hurt immediately but in the long run, it can cause various health hazards like respiratory problems, eye irritation, difficulty in breathing, etc. Hence, an automatic chalkboard duster cleaning machine Classroom Dust Buster is proposed. The Classroom Dust Buster is a desktop device that can clean the blackboard duster automatically without letting any human come in contact with the chalk dust. The duster cleaning machine can clean the duster automatically and minimize the chalk dust being exposed to the classroom and the environment. A smartphone can be connected to the device in order to monitor and control the device's functioning. ,CLAIMS:1. The internal circuitry will be inside a packed environment i.e. a Box (Item No. 1) so that
no dust comes out of it.
2. The device could be turned on and off with just a tap on a smartphone by connecting
with the device using Bluetooth.
3. A cleaning object (Item No. 7) is used to deracinate the dust from the duster which will
be attached to the motors (Item No. 6).
4. A vacuum fan (Item No. 8) is used that will put the dust content and put it in a duster
container (Item No. 3).
5. A slider (Item No. 5) is used to push the duster to the other side.
6. Dust container capacity could be monitored on a smartphone.
7. A notification will be sent to the smartphone connected to the automatic
chalkboard/blackboard duster machine when the dust container is full.
8. Ultrasonic sensors (Item No. 9 and 10) and a bluetooth module (Item No. 2) are used to
automate the overall process.
9. Atmega328p microcontroller (Item No. 11) is used to program and connect all the
components
10. Thus exposure to chalk dust in the classroom environment will be avoided
