"Carrier Assembly With Locking Mechanism"
Abstract: The subject matter disclosed herein relates to carrier assemblies for carrying an interacting element, such as a magnet, that is to be mechanically coupled with an external device on the basis of a linearly moving shaft. To this end, a locking mechanism is provided that allows a precise definition of a reference position of the movable carrier with respect to the housing prior to and during the mechanical coupling. In some illustrative embodiments the locked state may be established on the basis of non-rotatable movement of elastic engagement members, while in other cases, the transition from the non-locked state with defined reference position to the locked state may be accomplished on the basis of a rotation of a locking member integrally formed with the carrier.
