FIELD OF INVENTION
The present invention generally relates to air purification equipment;
Particularly, the present invention relates to cold plasma electrostatic precipitator air purifier.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The air environment is one of the important factors for human survival, the life and working time of people in indoor environment reaches 80 to 90 percent of the whole day, the indoor life time of old people, children and sick people is longer, and therefore the indoor air quality directly influences the physical and mental health of people.
During bad weather, especially in the haze, outdoor air quality is relatively poor than indoor air quality. People are preferring to use indoor air purifiers. There are various air purifiers available on the market, among which electrostatic precipitation technology is one of the main principles for purifying indoor air, and specifically, electrostatic precipitation refers to generating negative oxygen ions beneficial to the body by discharging electricity to the air at high voltage, thereby playing a role in purifying the air. The main byproduct of ionized air is ozone, which kills bacteria through three ways, one is that the strong oxidizing property of ozone oxidizes and decomposes enzyme required by glucose in bacteria, so that the bacteria are inactivated and killed; the other is to directly destroy the organelles and DNA of the bacteria, so that the metabolism of the bacteria is destroyed, and the bacteria die, and the third is to invade the cells, act on lipoprotein and lipopolysaccharide in the cells, change the permeability of the cells, and cause the cells to dissolve and die.
However, the products of ionizing air are not all negative oxygen ions and ozone because the main constituents of air also include nitrogen, carbon dioxide, and the like, and the effects of the ionization products of these constituents are not significant. In addition, once the concentration of ozone exceeds the standard, symptoms such as acceleration of human respiration, cough and headache can be caused. The electrostatic dust removal purifier in the prior art usually controls the balance of ionized air products as much as possible through a discontinuous periodic working mode, so that the ozone concentration is reduced. This is at the cost of reduced purification efficiency, which has the disadvantages of poor safety and low efficiency.
The present invention describes a Cold Plasma Electrostatic Precipitator Air Purifier.
OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
The primary object of the present invention is to provide an indoor air purifier;
Further object of the present invention is to provide a Cold Plasma Electrostatic Precipitator Air Purifier which runs electronically without any fan and has no filters to be replaced.
Further object of the present invention is to provide an air purifier which functions at all times and consumes very less electricity and is low maintenance.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
Embodiments of the present disclosure present technological improvements as solution to one or more of the above-mentioned technical problems recognized by the inventor in conventional practices and existing state of the art.
The present disclosure seeks to provide a Cold Plasma Electrostatic Precipitator Air Purifier.
In accordance with an aspect of the present invention, the said air purifier device is designed to purify air by generating a plasma field within a gas flow path. This plasma field is created by an electrode that is powered by a high voltage power source. The gas flow path has an inlet and an outlet, and the plasma field is generated between the teeth and the perforated plate within the gas flow path.
In accordance with another aspect of the present invention, the device is characterized by its capacity of 59 cubic meters, ion density of 1000 ea/CC of air, ion emission of 290 Mn ions/second, and its lightweight design with a weight of only 1.35 kg. It is also designed for continuous operation, consuming only 4 watts of power with a 220 volt power supply. In accordance with further aspect of the present invention, the air purifier device produces cold plasma wind turbulence which generates negative ions into the atmosphere, allowing it to function as an air purifier without the need for a filter.
In accordance with further aspect of the present invention, the air purifier device includes a cooling system that is connected to the electrode and is designed to maintain the temperature of the electrode below a predetermined threshold. The teeth are interconnected with a stainless-steel teeth connector, which acts as a conductor, and are engaged onto the teeth support in a specific sequence and with a specific distance matrix between each other in order to achieve the maximum plasma band.
The objects and the advantages of the invention are achieved by the process elaborated in the present disclosure.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The following specification describes the invention. Although some modes of carrying out the present disclosure have been disclosed, those skilled in the art would recognize that other embodiments for carrying out or practicing the present disclosure are also possible.
House dust mite (HDMs) produce allergens, which trigger an overreaction in individuals manifested as allergic responses. These allergens are the waste products (fecal pellets) which become airborne when house dust is disturbed which if inhaled cause symptoms as irritation, stuffy or running nose, watery eyes, coughing and difficulty in breathing or wheezing.
Positive ions generated in the indoors by exhausts, smoke, cooking, heating fumes, dust/soot, televisions, monitors, steel and concrete buildings by the EM waves. Studies also found that positive ions slow the sweeping action of the tiny hairs in throats form 600 – 900 beats per minute and cut mucus flow, thus lowering resistance to airborne allergens. For example, the positive ion carbon dioxide (CO2) causes contracture of the back tracheal wall. Positive ions also cause vascular constriction and increased respiration rate. Sleeplessness, irritability, tension, migraines, nausea, palpitations and hot flashes with sweating shills to tremor, vertigo, swelling, breathing difficulty, and frequent intestinal movement are often caused by positive ions and could be negated by the present invention.
Existing air purifiers use different kinds of pre and post filter starting from fan, active carbon, photocatalyst filter, UVC, and other kinds, which are expensive and hard to find things which incurs a recurring cost to the user. The present invention uses all these issues by removing above mentioned requirements and uses cold plasma electrostatic precipitation technique to counter and reduce the pollutants.
The present invention describes cold plasma electrostatic precipitator air purifier.
According to an embodiment of the present invention, the air purifier circulates air electronically with no motor, no fan and makes no noise. It has no filters and it traps airborne contaminants on stainless steel electro precipitator plate that is easy to clean.
According to an embodiment of the present invention, the cold plasma electrostatic precipitator has an inbuilt cold plasma generator.
Black Box circuit board (17) is a pulsed high voltage generator and is kept in the bottom side of the enclosure (1 & 2). Back side enclosure (2) is perforated ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) material. The perforation present on the front and back side of the enclosure (1&2) are meant for the air suction from the back and release/throw of the plasma wind from the front.
The output of the black box circuit board is connected to the teeth (10). All the teeth (10) are interconnected with a SS -Teeth connector (18), which acts as a conductor. The teeth are engaged onto the teeth support (11 an 11A), in a sequence to attain the maximum plasma band, with a specific inter distances matrix between the teeth.
A perforated plate (3) is inserted using the pair of plate guides (8 & 9). The plate guides are affixed to the main enclosure (1 & 2) using screws to the bosses present in the enclosure (1 & 2).
A connector clip for plate (7) is used to get the electrical connection between the neutral and the perforated plate (3).
Pull-out top handle (5) is used to pull out the perforated plate. A top pull-out handle support (4) is used to connect the pull-out perforated plate (3)
A dummy (12) is used to cover the slot present on the side of the enclosure (1 & 2). A 5A power switch (19) is fitted on the front panel through a cut-out on the front panel sticker (6). Pair of base clips (14 & 14 A) provided can be affixed when used as a table top. Pair of wall-mounting clips (15 & 15 A) are provided which can be used to affix the unit to the wall.
According to an embodiment of the present invention, the power up switch (19) provided on the front panel (6) which connects the 230 volts to the black-box circuit board and in turn produces the powerful cold plasma between the teeth (10) and the perforated plate (3).
The sharp pointed teeth (10) with a specific distance matrix between each other and importantly the perforated plate (3) produces a strong cold plasma wind. The plasma wind thus generated comes out of the front perforations on the enclosure (1). A faint hissing noise can be heard while this process occurs, which is an indication of the cold plasma wind. Simultaneously the plasma wind creates an electrostatic charge on the perforated plate (3). Thus, by making it as an electrostatic precipitator. During this process a cold plasma wind turbulence occurs which also generates negative ions into the atmosphere and the ions make the unit work as an Air purifier without any filter.
This filter-less air purifier creates a vortex of cold-plasma which sucks the air from the back-panel enclosure (2) through the perforations present on it.
Permissible levels of Ozone i.e. less than 0.02 ppm is released during the cold plasma generation and this helps the unit to inhibits the growth of the pathogens.
According to an embodiment of the present invention. the turbulence made by the cold plasma creates a plasma wind and thus behaves as a PM and SPM remover. The perforated plate (3) acts as a scrubber and particulate matter, suspended particulate matter or air borne matter, gets attracted to the perforated plate (3) which can be simply wiped out or rinsed out under running water.
The Blackbox circuit board (17) produces the pulsed high voltage of about 5KV and very low current of the order 1 mA. The pulsed high voltage produces the cold plasma between the teeth (10) and the perforated plate (3).
The output from the Blackbox circuit board (17) is fed to the matrix of the teeth (10) through a connector lug.
The teeth (10) matrix is interconnected through a SS (Stainless Steel) teeth connector (18) to increase the performance of the cold plasma efficacy. The distance between the teeth (10) tip and the perforated plate (3) is a key factor to better the efficacy of the cold plasma for the air purifier and is maintained between 10-20mm.
According to preferred embodiments of the present invention, the cold plasma electrostatic precipitator air purifier is designed to stay operational at all times and consumes only 4 watts power with 220 volts power supply. It has a capacity of 59 cubic meter, ion density of 1000 ea/CC of air, ion emission of 290 Mn ions/second and has a weight of only 1.35 kg.
The present invention has wide applications as mentioned below:
It is useful in all places where there is scope to improve the indoor air quality i.e., where there is bacteria, odor, stink, and air borne particles, dust mites, smoke and other hydrocarbons;
Bacteria and virus are killed and made inactive by negative ions which are effective at removing airborne allergens / pollens and help controlling splenitis, tonsilitis, asthma etc.;
It is useful at adsorbing spores and reducing smell;
It easily removes smoke particles from air, ozone is effective in reducing odors;
It is effective at absorbing various organic compounds / chemicals (VOCs).
,CLAIMS:We Claim:
1. A cold plasma electrostatic precipitator air purifier, comprising:
- a black box circuit board (17), a pulsed high voltage generator, kept in the bottom side of the enclosure (1, 2) enclosing a gas flow path, the gas flow path having an inlet and an outlet;
- an electrode positioned within the gas flow path configured to generate a plasma field in the gas flow path;
- a high voltage power source (19) provided on the front panel (6) connected to the electrode, the high voltage power source configured to provide a voltage sufficient to generate the plasma field in the gas flow path between the teeth (10) and the perforated plate (3);
- an output of the black box circuit board connected to the teeth (10);
- a perforated plate (3) is inserted using the pair of plate guides (8 & 9) and the plate guides are affixed to the main enclosure (1 & 2) using screws to the bosses present in the enclosure (1 & 2);
- a connector clip for plate (7) used to get the electrical connection between the neutral and the perforated plate (3);
- a pull-out top handle (5) used to pull out the perforated plate;
- a top pull-out handle support (4) used to connect the pull-out perforated plate (3);
characterized by capacity of 59 cubic meter, ion density of 1000 ea/CC of air, ion emission of 290 Mn ions/second and has a weight of only 1.35 kg and continuous operations while consuming only 4 watts power with 220 volts power supply and further characterized by production of cold plasma wind turbulence which generates negative ions into the atmosphere making the unit work as an a ir purifier without any filter.
2. The cold plasma electrostatic precipitator as claimed in Claim 1, wherein a cooling system is connected to the electrode and is configured to maintain the temperature of the electrode below a predetermined threshold.
3. The cold plasma electrostatic precipitator of claim 1, wherein and the teeth are interconnected with a Stainless Steel -Teeth connector (18), which acts as a conductor. The teeth are engaged onto the teeth support (11 an 11A), in a sequence to attain the maximum plasma band, with a specific inter distances matrix between the teeth.
4. The cold plasma electrostatic precipitator of claim 1, wherein the distance between the teeth (10) tip and the perforated plate (3) is 10-20mm.

The cold plasma electrostatic precipitator as claimed in Claim 1, wherein the sharp pointed teeth (10) with a specific distance matrix between each other and the perforated plate (3) produces a cold plasma wind which comes out of the front perforations on the enclosure (1) creating an electrostatic charge on the perforated plate (3).
6. The cold plasma electrostatic precipitator as claimed in Claim 1, wherein the vortex of cold-plasma sucks the air from the back-panel enclosure (2) through the perforations present on it.

The cold plasma electrostatic precipitator of claim 1, further comprising a control system connected to the high voltage power source, the control system configured to adjust the voltage provided by the high voltage power source based on a signal received from a sensor positioned within the gas flow path.
