Abstract: Skin aging is one of the major concerns of present day and is a complex process. The present disclosure provides a composition comprising serine and arginine, which at particular w/w ratios, promotes collagen production. Enhanced collagen would mitigate the fine lines and wrinkles giving the skin a more youthful look.
Claims:1. A composition of amino acids to ameliorate skin aging comprising:
a. serine; and
b. arginine,
wherein serine to arginine w/w ratio in the said composition is in the range of 1:0.5 to 1:3.
2. The composition as claimed in claim 1, wherein serine to arginine w/w ratio in said composition is in the range of 1:0.5-1:2.5.
3. The composition as claimed in claim 1, wherein serine to arginine w/w ratio in the said composition is in the range of 1:0.5-1:2.
4. The composition as claimed in claim 1, wherein serine to arginine w/w ratio in the said composition is in the range of 1:2.5.
5. A composition comprising:
a. serine having weight percentage in the range of 0.001-0.004%; and
b. arginine having weight percentage in the range of 0.003-0.005%,
wherein serine to arginine w/w ratio in said composition is in the range of 1:0.5-1:3.
6. The composition as claimed in claims 1-4, further comprising:
a. at least one carrier;
b. at least on diluent; and
c. at least one excipient.
7. A method for preparing a composition as claimed in claims 1-3, said method comprises:
a. obtaining serine;
b. obtaining arginine; and
c. contacting serine and arginine to obtain a composition.
8. A method for preparing a composition as claimed in claim 6, said method comprising:
a. obtaining serine;
b. obtaining arginine;
c. obtaining at least one carrier;
d. obtaining at least one diluent;
e. obtaining at least one excipient; and
f. contacting serine, arginine, at least one carrier, at least one diluent, and at least one excipient to obtain a composition.
9. The composition as claimed in any of claims 1-8, wherein said composition enhances collagen synthesis in dermal fibroblasts.
10. A method for enhancing collagen synthesis in dermal fibroblasts, said method comprising:
a. obtaining the composition as claimed in any of the claims 1-8; and
b. contacting the said composition with skin,
wherein said method enhances collagen synthesis in dermal fibroblasts.
