Connector With Peripheral Seal Protection

Abstract: The invention provides an electrical connector (100) for connecting to a mating electrical connector in a mating direction (190). The electrical connector (100) comprises a housing (110) having a circumferential sealing surface (117), the sealing surface (117) being provided with a peripheral seal (130) facing in the mating direction (190), a lever (120) having at least one arm (128) provided on an outside (118) of the housing (110), the at least one arm (128) being movable from a first position (125) to a second position (126). The electrical connector (100) is characterized in that the at least one arm (128) covers the peripheral seal (130). (Figure 1)
